Hi everyone,
Many of you have noticed that I have recently posted chapter 8. Sorry again for the delays but it was necessary. Writing some of these scenes isn't easy for me sometimes and I always want to make sure I'm giving you my best work.
Anyway, there was a mix-up with the italics. In the last chapter, whenever Dawn and George would communicate telepathically I would put their words in Italics to make it easier to understand. For whatever reason, that didn't translate over. So this afternoon I'll try to update the story with the proper italicized phrases.
If you are having trouble, a good rule of thumb is that whenever George and Dawn are talking to just each other, you can assume it's telepathic. I haven't heard any complaints yet, but I wanted to let everyone know what the deal was.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who has already read it and voted on it. You guys are the best! Also, I need to thank my editors for all their hard work. It took a long time to release because they kept finding better ways to do things. So flame them! LOL.
I'm kidding of course. Naitachal, Brian Lowry and Val deserve much of the credit. Special thanks goes to Spacer X for being so cutthroat in his corrections. He's great for bouncing ideas off of and for spotting inconsistencies in my work. I imagine he has a lot of practice with his story being so long. You should all read it btw!
I also have to thank my friend from eastern Europe, Mozartfan, for the boost in confidence. It's cool to have die hard fans worldwide.
Yours,

Hey everyone,
I've been getting a ton of emails lately asking if I am going to continue the series. I couldn't understand why until I realized it has been 6 months since I last posted. Sorry to keep you guys waiting, but I am working very hard on the next chapter. I am currently the middle of my third rewrite and I think this will be the last one. So expect something soon.
If I could, I would be writing everyday, nonstop, until the whole story was done. I just have to manage my time available with the quality I demand of myself (such as it is).
Long story short, I'm working on it. It shan't be much longer, promise.
Yours,
800G
I recently received a very charming email from a reader who compared A Beautiful Wish to an opera composed by wonderful Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart called, The Magic Flute. They cited it's similarities - that George and Dawn adore and work with children. Upon researching the opera for myself I discovered other similarities as well, such as the main character's penchant for attracting beautiful women even though he is a bit of a doofus, and the heroine who is lovely as all hell and has a wonderful voice (this is opera after all).
They praised me for bringing their favorite opera into the 21st century. At least I think so, their English was a bit broken. Part of the reason that I am addressing this here is because this person asked me some interesting questions but left no return address. I use this outlet as the only means to reach you. If they would prefer I not, they may email me again and I will take down this post.
As to whether or not I wrote this story as a modern interpretation of The Magic Flute, I only wish that were so, and you do me far to much credit by suggesting it. Despite my education I am not nearly as well read as I could be. My inspiration came from my adoration of Joe Brolly's stories and the intimacy the two main characters share. And when I mention intimacy I'm not just talking about sex, though sex is part of it.
The anonymous fan also asked me if George and Dawn will have children together? And if so, would Dawn be able to protect them like she does George?
First, Dawn wants children, because deep down George does too. However, at this point in the story, I don't think children are at the forefront of their minds. But, who knows? Well... I do, but you get my meaning.
As for the second question, from what I have gleaned from my conversations about the rules of the universe with JB, the only person Dawn can fully protect is George, and herself. If they had a child, that child would not get to live for as long as George wants it to. The reason is because if it were otherwise, there could quickly be an entire race of little immortal Gs and Ds running around. And that could get a little hard to keep track of. Hell, I can barely keep up with one frisky couple.
That doesn't preclude him from making wishes about the child. He could wish, for example, that his daughter be beautiful, since physical appearance is often important for attracting a partner. Or, if his daughter fell in love with someone, he could wish that the two be perfect lovers for each other.
However, he could protect his children from physical harm in a roundabout way. Say, George is driving his daughter to school, and a truck runs a stop sign is about to destroy them both. Dawn could move the car out of the way, or slow down time so that George has enough time to react. Since his daughter was in the car at the time, she has been protected by Dawn's powers by proxy.
Anyway, I hope that answers your question. And thank you, whoever you are, for your intriguing questions.
Genie Chronicles the video game, Genie Chronicles the lunch box, Genie Chronicles the flamethrower (the kids love that one).
I found this while I was fiddling around on the internet recently and I got so excited upon reading it that I immediately sprung to 30%.
Genie Chronicles on TNT
They are making a TV show! Now, I know it isn't the same as Joe Brolly's story, but I have a hard time believing that the writers hadn't at least heard of Genie Chronicles before they starting production.
Personally, I am a big fan of TNT in general, and Charmed was a favorite of mine for a long time. If the producers for the show are about and are looking for staff writers... PICK ME, PICK ME!!!!
Though, there probably won't be as many orgasms, so maybe I'll wait until they make a series for ABW.
Oh well. Back to work.
