A young German businessman meets a beautiful young student in Sydney. He's a workaholic; her stunning mother is a successful and driven CEO of a transport company; his secretary is young and gorgeous. A tale about love, of personal relationships getting close and fading away, of business challenges and successes, and of people deeply in love. One woman? Two? Three? And what will he do, visiting the estates that his family had for hundreds of years in Prussia that were expropriated by Poland after WW2? What could possibly go wrong?
A young German workaholic businessman meets a young girl on a party in Sydney, and with the help of a bottle of Grange Hermitage, a Porsche Carrera, and Joan Sutherland singing Casta Diva, they fall in love. There will be problems - her mother is a successful businesswoman, with whom he tries to close a big contract, but she does not like him at all in the beginning. At the end, however, they realize their love.
James has found his love. His future mother-in-law, initially so supportive, however, gets upset with him and a final meeting almost ends in disaster. There is a showdown, but finally, the situation is resolved. He gets promoted, they marry, and go on a honeymoon in beautiful Bali. His secretary turns from a duckling to a swan. Once in a while, the good guys win.
James is happy – he is married to the most beautiful woman in his world, her mother adores him, and his secretary isn’t bad at all. Love abounds - mishaps appear occasionally but are soon overcome. Anniversaries and Christmas bring presents, but at the New Year’s Ball, he must defend his life. He is honored as the Main Speaker at Hawaii's Annual IBM Sales Meeting, but then disaster strikes. What can he do now that one of his dreams has ended?
James is at a loss on what to do with his life - a stupid HQ senior executive has destroyed his dream, and to add insult to injury is a rude and foolish Texan. What to do? He starts consulting (which ends up frustrating), Eileen gets what she wanted - he’ll work with her in her company. There are complications, but she takes his recommendation and goes to war. He survives an important golf game with the last stroke on the last hole. Jenny joins them and it seems that all is coming together.
Life is returning to normal, and James has taken control of his life. He’s negotiating the purchase of NT’s main competitor in NSW, invents an option saving fifty million dollars from Eileen’s target, and rewards himself and his loves in a wonderful spa. Two beautiful hosts decide to get him into their beds, and James has to show all his strength to survive. Could life be better? Thanks for reading the story. James is ready for normal life but decides to visit the estates his family had owned in East Germany. He proposes a plan to revitalize the city that had fallen into deep depression. A corrupt mayor destroys his intentions. After a year, he is invited back again - and a new plan is proposed and executed. Suddenly, an election to the Sejm changes everything. The Prime Minister threatens expropriation. What will he do? Pay a bribe to keep his investment? Will he go to war, risking everything?
