A coming-of-age story set during an incredible summer. Living in a mid-Wales holiday town, the most exciting thing ever to happen to Luke was turning 18. Shopping for old sf novels in charity shops, he discovered a curious steampunk-like thing which intrigued him so much he bought it. Excited with his discovery, he went home to show it to his elder sister who was sunbathing in the garden.
