The Sondag are an advanced military society. The Kadamon is a Sondag space marine assault lander; tough, fast and able to go anywhere. After the ship and its sole surviving crew member fall through a rift in space, human and sondag survivors of the collision unite, and it becomes the independent transport vessel Catamount.
The Asgard sector has never seen a ship or crew quite like her.
Dar Kree is a Sondag pilot - sole survivor of a failed battle, his ship drifts powerless into the Volmon rift. Ross Carson and Pete Lopez are partners, hardscrabble independent miners and salvage operators operating their own ship, but just barely staying one step ahead of the creditors. When the Sondag ship exits the rift and collides with the human - its a disaster. But its also a new beginning.
The crew of the Catamount made it out of Keeler alive, but now they return to the rift in search of more debris from Sondag space. Of course in the rift, finding it is always the easy part.
