Bobby Jenkins, an immature wealthy Long Islander, is drafted and sent to Vietnam. He is assigned as a replacement in an unit activated from the Alabama National Guard. It changes his life. This is his story of his early years, induction into the Army, Vietnam experience, recovery as a WIA, first love, and concludes with the ending of his first year at the University of Alabama.

A continuation of Robert Jenkins. It starts as Rob finishes the first year at the University of Alabama. It ends when his Grandfather dies and he finishes the second year and prepares for law school.
