It has been a year following the events documented in The Log of the Retvizan - Twylight. A brand new US attack submarine, the USS Texas, goes missing at exactly the same place as the Retvizan the year before. Is it time for another voyage of the Russian giant?

Time has moved on since the events covered by the two earlier stories in The Log of the Retvizan series. The Russian sub has set out on a new adventure - to right the wrongs of the mysterious man, or woman, known as Weissenritter - the White Knight. But first they must discover his/her real identity.
