Air Transport Auxiliary — a collection from

The ATA was a WW2 civilian organisation employing pilots who, for some reason, (including being female) were not able to serve in the military. They ferried military aircraft 'Anything To Anywhere'. These stories all have an ATA connection, if tenuous!
The grandson of a ferry pilot who died in the second world war tells of his experience following the grandfather he never knew into the air. There's a bit of romance, too, but no explicit sex (sorry). / (Reviews)
This is a prequel to 'Slipping the Surly Bonds'. Not as long or detailed as I originally intended, but it does give the background history for the later tale. Set in wartime Britain it forms part of the ATA series.
Eileen and David don't understand why they are drawn together, until they begin to dream vivid dreams. They discover much about their respective grandparents.
An RAF Squadron Commander has a problem - his pilots are scared of the machine they have to fly. Can a petite, young, female, ATA pilot shake them out of their fear? This is a fictional account, but something of the sort did in fact happen. No explicit sex, but a bit of romance.
