That evening, Sandy and I teamed up and treated Jean like a queen. It was especially good when Sandy and I made love to Jean for two hours non stop. After her tenth orgasm, Jean had to cry uncle. We totally wore her out and she went to sleep right away. Sandy spent the rest of the night in her own bed so the new 'mommy and daddy' could snuggle up together to sleep.
Jean and I decided to get an early start preparing for the baby to be born. We had a fourth bedroom that we were only using for storage. There wasn't a whole lot of stuff in there so we moved it all to the basement. We went to the hardware store and picked up some nice gender neutral paint for the walls. Jean and I worked together painting and in one day we had the room ready, or so I thought. Jean told me that the room was too plain and we needed to decorate it. So we made another trip to an interior decorator store to pick up some stuff. Of course at least half of what she picked out was Disney characters. I acceded to her wishes as long as it included Whiney the Pooh and Tigger.
"The most wonderful ting about Tiggers; Is Tiggers are wonderful tings.
Their heads are made of rubber and their tails are made out of springs."
I couldn't help reciting that little ditty and made a fool of myself in the process. Jean just chuckled at my childish antics. When we got home Sandy just had to join in decorating. She was so excited; you would think it was her having a baby. The thought made me shudder.
I decided to change out the light fixture in the room so I made a trip back to the hardware store. As I got out of the car I had an uneasy feeling of foreboding danger. I looked around and noticed a car sitting by the front door of the bank building next door. The car was running and there was someone sitting in the driver's seat nervously looking around. Glancing at the bank door I saw a sign which said closed. Curiosity got the best of me so I casually walked over towards the bank. I could hear some voices coming from the bank and it sounded like someone barking out orders to the people inside. I shouldn't have been able to hear them but I could. They were as plain as if they were right next to me. I wondered if it was one of the powers Horatio had mentioned.
As I got nearer to the bank I then noticed that the big iron security gate which should be open, instead, was closed. I made myself invisible and decided to see if walking through locked doors would also work on an iron gate. I eased my way forward and was able to easily pass through not only the gate but the door too. When I got inside I saw two masked men with guns drawn holding about a dozen customers hostage. A third man was going from teller to teller getting the cash from their drawers. I figure I had to do something pretty quick so I took a deep breath and said "Time stop."
Immediately everybody was frozen place. The first thing I did was to remove the bullets from the robber's guns. One of the robbers had a hunting knife on his belt so I took that out of its sheath and stashed it behind a filing cabinet. I had neglected to take off my painting gloves from earlier so I would not be leaving any unexplained finger prints. That was a stroke of pure luck. I went over to the unoccupied bank manager's desk and reached under the top and flicked the silent alarm switch on. I knew I did not have to get out of there right away since I had stopped time. I then unlocked the front door and the iron-gate. I pushed the gate open and then went over to the car parked out front. I lifted the hood on the car and disconnected the throttle linkage so the getaway driver could not leave. I closed the hood and went to the driver's side and opened the door. The driver didn't have his seatbelt on so I picked up some road gravel and dumped it into the belt latch. I then put the belt around the robber and clicked it closed. I tried the release button and, sure enough, it was jammed. The robber had a gun in his belt so I removed it, dumped the bullets in the back seat and slid the gun under the front passenger's seat out of reach of the driver.
I then went into the hardware store and stood in the electrical aisle. I looked to see if there was anybody to see me and made myself visible. I then said, "Time start." It wasn't but a single minute later that three police cars pulled up to the bank with lights and sirens going. I stepped out of the store so I could see what was going down. One of the officers noticed the suspicious car out front and made short order of arresting the driver. The other officers stormed the bank and were able to subdue the three masked robbers without a single shot being fired. I did hear a lot of clicking of empty guns being tried. A paddy-wagon arrived and the four would-be bank robbers were transported away. There were several confused officers who could not figure out why the take-down had been so easy. I just chuckled to myself and went back to the hardware store to continue my shopping for a new light fixture for the baby's room. It must have been my lucky day because I found a fixture with Disney characters painted on it. I knew that Jean would be thrilled so I paid for the light and headed back home.
When I got home Jean came running out and threw her arms around me. She was followed by Sandy who turned it into a group hug.
"Ladies, what's this all about?"
"We heard on the radio that the bank next to the hardware store got robbed and worried about you."
"As you can plainly see I'm just fine."
"The announcer said something about it being an easy, I think he called it, take-down."
"Yeah, I saw the whole thing."
Jean took me aside, "Greg I noticed time stopped for about twenty minutes. Did you get involved?"
