Science Fiction Story: It's a straight science fiction story. Simon, the protagonist, woke up alone. Very alone. He could not find another soul so he went back to where he was the most comfortable--the family farm in the Ozarks. There's very little dialog and what may be considered a depression-fuelled break in the story.
