The Covid pandemic changed many things, including how we do business and to some degree, the family structure. Covid made it difficult to meet new people, and it crushed many swinger’s clubs.
My name is Courtney. I am a thirty-year-old woman, and I am happily married to my husband, Adam. He is thirty-three and we have been married for nine years. Before Covid, we had been what I would consider a very normal couple, and I had never considered cheating on my husband. Even today, I detest cheaters, which is what makes my story seem strange.
When everything was locked down, I was pleased that I was allowed to work from home. I could continue to contribute to our family finances, plus I had the added benefit of not having to dress for work, most days, unless we had a meeting that I needed to attend. I even sat through a training meeting wearing a nice top. My hair and makeup were perfect, but below my desk, I only wore a loose pair of shorts. I didn’t even bother with panties, so as the training instructor droned on, I let my fingers do the walking. I was not brave enough to try and have a climax, because I knew that the training instructor and probably my bosses could see everyone at the meeting.
I may not have climaxed then, but the second the meeting was over, and I was sure the Zoom link had been disconnected, I leaned back in my chair and gave myself a very nice orgasm. Working from home had its advantages including having a quickie with my husband when he came home and he found a reason to come home quite often. There was also a very real downside. Working from home was lonely. I still spoke on the phone with many of my colleagues, but it is just not the same as being face-to-face in the office.
I decided that a couple of times each week I would dress nicely and have a real lunch hour. I would walk a quarter mile or so that it was, to a nice coffee and sandwich place. Yes, I had to wear a mask to get in the building but once a customer sat at a table, they were allowed to remove their mask to eat and drink their coffee. I am not sure how much good wearing a mask, for the minute it usually took to place my order, and walk to a table, but that is how it was done.
The first time I went to the coffee shop I noticed an attractive man sitting at the table next to me. Well, even in normal times I often talk to strangers; so, after being deprived of human contact for several months, I was quick to strike up a conversation with this man. Apparently, he was suffering from the same problem because I quickly learned that he was at the coffee shop for the same reasons as I was.
His name was Dave and he checked off many of the boxes in my mental checklist for men that I might be attracted to. He was a couple of inches over six feet tall. He appeared to be in good physical shape and had boyish good looks that made him very approachable. Even though he was dressed casually, I could tell his clothes were high quality. We talked about everything and nothing. I could tell that he too missed human contact. After several minutes I invited him to join me at my table. Part of the plan to protect us all from COVID-19 was to force the owners of the coffee shop to use every other table. They had to try and make a living with half as many paying tables. It was uncomfortable speaking loud enough to converse with him two tables away. I invited him to join me and we shook hands. Yeah, I know, I was risking my life.
We got along wonderfully and I was sure to let him know when I planned to return to the coffee shop. Two days later, I found myself doing more than dressing nicely. I wore a top that showed just a little cleavage, and I spent a bit more time on my makeup. Dave was waiting for me when I arrived and once again, we had an hour of stimulating conversation. I learned that his situation was very similar to mine. He was married and had two kids who were in their teens. His wife was an essential worker and continued in her job while he worked from home and found it hard to stay home every day.
We started out meeting twice a week but after a few weeks, we met three or four times a week. I began to look forward to seeing him and our meeting was the highlight of my day. This had nothing to do with my relationship with my husband. I mentioned early on that I usually visited with a man named Dave when I went to lunch and he did not seem to care. My husband had his own way of dealing with the stress of the Covid lockdown. For the most part, I liked his way of dealing with stress. My husband, Adam tried several new things to spice up our sex life. Being tied to our bed was interesting, and being massaged with various oils was fun. One of the things he wanted, more than all the rest of his ideas, was to watch me do it with another man. That was a little too much for me, at least in the beginning. I told him no, but it was not a hard no. I listened to his argument and the idea of being with another man and enjoying the excitement I would feel as we did the social dance that would lead to the two of us being intimate, was something that intrigued me. However, the idea of Adam watching me was a little scary and more than a little gross. The very real risk to our marriage made it a very bad idea in my mind.
I was very attracted to Dave, but there was no way I was going to cheat on my husband for a thrill with someone new. I believe Dave felt the same. In fact, we discussed our attraction to each other but we both maintained that we had no desire to violate our marriage vows. Because Dave was such a good friend, one day I mentioned what my husband was proposing. Dave began chuckling. At first, I was confused but after a while, his chuckling began to upset me. When he finally quit laughing, he told me that he had proposed something very similar to his wife. I was stunned but when I asked him how his wife had responded, he admitted that she didn’t say no but she had set several conditions that had to be met before she would consider doing it.
I was almost afraid to ask but when I asked what conditions his wife had set, he gladly told me. Her first rule was that it had to be someone that they did not know. He had suggested a friend of theirs or one of the men she normally worked with. Just like my husband had suggested his best friend, his wife was adamant that it had to be someone they did not know and would most likely not run into again. She did not want his best friend smirking at her every time he visited after he had sex with her, and she did not want to be forced to turn him down every time he visited. That made sense. I had similar concerns about doing it with Adam’s friend. Her second rule was that she had to have an attraction to whomever they chose. They both were afraid to meet someone online, so they had tactfully tabled the idea for the time being with the plan to try and find someone when they went on vacation after the pandemic was over.
There were additional concerns about not watching the other partner and while my husband’s main concern was to watch me having sex, his wife wanted to be sure that he was having sex with another woman while she enjoyed her husband. Her thoughts were that if she were guilty of violating her marriage vows, then he would be just as guilty and could not hold it against her. I found it interesting that his wife suggested that if they found a couple to swap with they, limit themselves to only that couple. She did not want to have multiple men to raise the number of partners she had in her lifetime, and she did not want to go through the trouble of finding a new partner several times a year. His wife agreed that there was a real chance of developing feelings for the new partner if they were together multiple times, but she preferred that risk over dating multiple men.
It was at the end of our conversation that I had a wicked idea. I wanted to share my idea with him, but our lunch hour was up and today I did have a virtual meeting to attend. I asked Dave if we could meet again tomorrow and I would share my idea with him then. The twenty-four hours, twenty-three hours from the time we left the cafe until we met the following day were some of the longest that I can remember. I did not have much to add to my meeting because my mind was working out the details of my idea. That night, Adam and I made love, and I had an incredible climax. However, for the first time that I can remember, I was not thinking about Adam when I came.
The next day, I arrived at the coffee shop before Dave, and I had our usual order waiting when he arrived. I felt wonderfully wicked as I told him how I thought we could swap spouses and how that would allow the two of us to have guilt-free sex. Dave was all ears and my enthusiasm must have been contagious. Our lunch hour lasted for an hour and a half but fortunately, neither of us had anything pressing that we needed to be home for. My plan was simple. I would tentatively agree to give my husband his fantasy.
