Rubbing sleep from his eyes, Daniel came upon Emma in the kitchen. “You’re bright-eyed and bushy-tailed,” he said. “What are you up to so early on a Sunday morning?”
“Oh, this and that,” Emma answered. “Just rearranging these corks. For some reason they keep falling off their ledge.”
“They must be tipsy,” Daniel said.
“Ha ha, very funny,” Emma said. “Also I found this tag from those new shoes of yours.”
“Vegan,” Daniel said. “Whoever heard of vegan shoes?”
“I don’t know,” Emma said, “but I took a picture. Also I smooshed an ant. We might need to spray or something. I asked CoPilot what would be good for ants, and somehow I ended up showing my cork picture to her, and before you know it, she did this cartoon.”
