The following afternoon Lynette had just completed a chapter on the new book and, feeling satisfied with her progress, decided to take a break. In the three days since the priest had blessed the house there had been absolutely no recurrences with Simon and Sarah.
'Perhaps they're gone -- for good, ' thought Lynette, smiling that the house now seemed peaceful and serene, the way it had before the ghosts had made their appearance. Maybe now she and Cherie could settle into the life for which they had come to Cape Simmons.
She went into the kitchen, filled the teapot and set it to boiling. A relaxing cup of tea would hit the spot. Cherie wouldn't be home for a couple of hours yet and...
Her hair was suddenly jerked painfully sending her reeling into the kitchen wall. Another hand pulled her around to face the seemingly empty room yet she could feel the hot breath against her cheek.
"Did you miss us, Sweetie?" cackled an invisible Sarah as Lynette was lifted up against the wall, her sandals falling to the floor as her feet dangled and thrashed six inches from the floor.
"But ... but..." she choked, "the priest..."
There was bitter laughter. "You really think an old man sprinkling some water would keep us away?
"But he blessed the house," she cried.
"Didn't do any good did it?" growled Simon. "You made the mistake of coming here -- to our domain -- and now you pay the price."
"You're ours now, Sweetie," laughed Sarah -- "FOREVER!"
"NO! No, I won't..." screamed Lynette writhing to get away, but the hand at her neck held her steadfast while other hands, no doubt Sarah's pulled her jeans down and off. A stronger hand ripped away her shirt leaving her only in panties below the waist.
"Listen to the whore," bellowed simon. "She thinks she can stop me!"
Sarah's cackling increased.
"Let's see you stop this!" he said and an invisible hand ripped her panties from her, the tattered remains drifting to the floor.
"And see if you can stop this!" came Simon's rough voice as Lynette's legs were thrust apart and she was once again painfully violated.
Her grunts and whines were long and pathetic as, helplessly, while suspended against the wall, Lynette was filled, stretched, used as nothing more than a fuck doll, her body slamming back against the wall with each powerful thrust of her invisible assailant. As the assault continued Lynette could offer less and less resistance as both her body and spirit were pounded into submission.
After what seemed an eternity she felt Simon's ghostly seed fill her womb. Thinking her ordeal over she began struggling again to be let loose but instead of freedom she was slapped across the face, spun around and again slammed against the wall her cheek and breasts pressed against the cold hard surface while again she was lifted several inches from the floor.
"NO! PLEASE, I BEG YOU! IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" she shrieked as her small dark target was suddenly filled with a phallus the size of which was never intended for anything as small and delicate as her anus. Lynette was delirious with pain, this rape being much more violent than the previous assaults She passed out, was revived, passed out a second time, was revived again and now to keep her conscious, the mother was reaching in, grabbing and squeezing Lynette's nipples, the new exquisite pain so intense on her sensitive breasts that unconsciousness was denied her.
Her body now limp and being held in place only by the force of her invisible attackers, Lynette had been, within the space of only a few minutes, reduced from confident, creative woman, mother and successful author to a quivering mass of flesh, her spirit broken, in total defeat and surrender to the devastating sexual onslaught.
Too weak to even scream, her throat raw from the effort, Lynette could only weep weakly and uncontrollably as Simon withdrew and the grasp on her was released. In utter misery, fatigue and defeat her near naked body slid down the wall into a disheveled heap. Long since having lost control of both bladder and bowels, Lynette soiled and wet herself as mocking laughter filled the room.
"Get used to it, whore! You're ours now! We take you when and how we want and there is nothing you can do about it.!"
With that the room was empty except for the quivering woman, too weak to do anything except cry, utterly and unremittingly.
It was more than a half hour later that Lynette could muster the strength to crawl into the bathroom and into the tub where she cleaned herself, but could not wash away the pain nor the humiliation -- nor the abject fear.
By the time Cherie was dropped off by the school bus, Lynette, knowing her daughter would be home soon and not wishing to share the monstrous truth of what this house held, had cleaned herself and the kitchen and dressed in clean clothes.
"Hi, Mom! What's for dinner?"
"Surprise! We're going out to dinner."
"Oh, what's the occasion?"
"Well, you remember that you said you'd like to see more of the coast up north?"
"Yeah."
"Well, how about we grab some dinner and drive on up to Hampton."
"Tonight?"
"Sure, why not?"
"But tomorrow's Friday. I've got school."
"Any tests?"
"No, but..."
"Then we'll make it a long weekend. Just throw some stuff in a bag and let's head out. What do you say?"
"What's going on, Mom?"
"Nothing. I just thought that since we'd both like to see more of the coast, why wait? Missing one day of school won't matter."
"Boy, that's the first time I ever heard you say THAT!"
"Come on. What do you say?"
"Okay. Uh. what about we invite Marissa to go with us?"
"If she can get a day or so off from the library."
"Great! I'll call her."
As Cherie ran into the kitchen to make the call, Lynette tried to amend her hastily thought out plan. All she wanted was to get as far away from this house as possible and never return. She wasn't sure how or what she would tell Cherie and Marissa but she did know she couldn't spend another night amid this madness. They would weekend at Hampton and later she and Cherie would drive back to the city. It didn't matter at this point where they settled as long as it was far away from Cape simmons and this house. She could hire movers to come back for their belongings.
"Hello, Marissa? I want you to pack a bag. You and Mom and I are going to Hampton for the weekend."
"But, Cherie, the library..."
"Get someone to cover for you. I want you with me. It's been almost three days."
"I know. I've missed you so."
"Then pack a bag. We'll pick you up in an hour."
Marissa knew this was unwise. Could she hide her feelings for Cherie from Lynette? Could or would Cherie hide her feelings from her mother? What should she pack? How would she be able to get someone to fill in for her?
But, God, how she missed Cherie.
Wait, there was Nancy. Maybe she could...
She grabbed the phone book to look up Nancy's number.
Lynette wondered if Simon and Sarah could read her mind as she hurriedly threw some clothes into a bag. If they knew she had no intention of ever returning to this house what would they do? But there was no sign of the malevolent spirits and she hurried a puzzled Cherie who could not understand why her mother seemed to be in such a rush.
At last they were on their way, Lynette not even looking back as she sped away from the house.
A few minutes later and they pulled up in front of Marissa's house. The lovely librarian, carrying a small suitcase and smiling, joined them.
"Wow, when you two decide to do something you don't fool around, do you?" she laughed, putting her suitcase in the trunk then climbing into the rear seat.
"I ... I just thought it would be nice if the three of us could get away for a relaxing weekend." said Lynette, not yet ready to reveal the terrifying truth behind the sudden trip. Once they were safely away, she would tell them everything, but if she told them now, Cherie would be very upset about not returning and Lynette didn't feel she could face that just yet. "Sorry if the sudden decision caused a problem," she added.
"No, not at all. I was able to get Nancy Kellerman to fill in for me."
"Then let's eat, and Hampton here we come!" smiled Cherie.
It was late that night when they pulled into the Hampton Inn parking lot after the 180 mile drive. Lynette registered and insisted on paying for the room. Marissa agreed only if she be allowed to pay for the meals. The room was nicely appointed, a little pricier than Lynette would have wanted but she was tired and only to happy to have left Cape Simmons and that dreadful house behind. The two queen sized beds were deliciously comfortable, Lynette and Cherie in one and Marissa in the other. Looking forward to some sightseeing and shopping tomorrow, they were all soon fast asleep.
Lynette often arose early so Cherie and Marissa suspected nothing when she had already showered and dressed in jeans and sweater by the time they were waking up. On the pretense of taking a morning constitutional, Lynette went to the lobby and purchased a local paper. Looking in the classifieds she circled some apartments for rent. They might not be settling permanently in Hampton but they would need a place to stay until their plans were made as to their future home. She called the first number but was told the apartment had already been rented. The second call was more productive however. The female voice indicated that she had a furnished over-the-garage apartment which while small sounded ideal for Lynette and Cherie until they could make other plans. The price was certainly reasonable and Lynette hoped it wasn't a dump. She got directions and agreed to see the apartment that afternoon. She knew the suddenness of the move would be a lot for Cherie to handle but she hoped she could explain what she knew would sound like a fantastic story. She was also counting on Marissa to help, since from the ride, the librarian and Cherie had obviously become good friends (how good she had no idea).
After breakfast the three visited a museum and several small local shops where Marissa bought Cherie a necklace with a coin brought up from one of the coastal shipwrecks. At lunch Lynette asked what Cherie thought of Hampton, trying to break the ice concerning their moving here, at least for the moment. Cherie was impressed with the quaintness of the shops but seemed otherwise non committal.
"I hope to have a surprise for you by this evening," said Lynette.
"Oooh, being rather secretive are we?" kidded Cherie.
"Well, I hope it will work out, but I have to leave the two of you for two or three hours. Okay?"
"Oh, I think we can find something to amuse us," said Cherie.
