The flakes of snow crashing into the glass window, the sound of the wind bellowing outside as another yawn takes over me. Glancing over at the alarm clock, the red numbers softly glowing, saying 1:24 a.m. Luckily, my bed didn’t creak, so I was able to turn over quietly to the other side of the room. Amy was lying in the other bed, sleeping. I’m not sure why we chose to sleep in the same room, but it didn’t bother me. She was an old classmate of mine back from high school. I’m glad it was nice and warm that I only had to wear a tank top and some thin shorts. A soft voice from the other side made me jump. “You can’t sleep either, huh?”
I turn over and see her lying on her pillow and the blanket covering her, but I can still see her wavy, amber hair flowing from her ponytail.
I give a soft smile. “Yeah ... I guess today woke me up more than usual.”
A giggle from Amy draws me to her. She’s just staring at me.

After seeing her arm pull her blanket off, I get to finally see her wearing her white boy shorts and a loose tee. My eyes slowly guide themselves up and down her amazing body. She notices and covers her mouth while smiling deeply. “Don’t act surprised. You know I haven’t changed after all these years.”
