It was a week after the semester ended. I sat nervously in Principal Brecker's office across from her desk. Cat sat with me. While Skylar, Meaghan, and Aimee would give me fantastic reviews, I had no idea what the other freshmen girls would say or what the girls from any of my other classes would write. Brecker began, "Catherine talked to me a couple of weeks before the semester ended."

Brecker said, "She has high praise for you in the way you teach and from what I have seen, the students like you. Despite all that, as you are aware this is an all-girls school and I am of the mind to not retain you."

Brecker picked up another one. "Chemistry is way cool! I hated science the first two years. Mr. Cooper is super duper, Chelsie."

"From your Physics class," said Brecker. "I didn't know that science was cool. Mr. Cooper is awesome. I hope he stays here forever. I want to take all my classes with him, Susan."

"This is from a freshman girl," Brecker said. "Mr. Cooper is a really, really, really, really good teacher. I know a lot more than I used to know about science. Please keep him here at Mountain Lake Academy. I don't think I want to go to school here if Mr. Cooper is not here, Meaghan."

"She needed to talk some things out," I quickly said. I could hear the sexually-coded words in her evaluation.

"Two other freshman girls expressed similar sentiments as strong as Meaghan's," Brecker said. "You have made quite the impression on our students. I would be foolish to let you go."

"So I am here for the next semester?" I said hopefully and trying to contain my excitement.
