Chapter 6

Three months later what was whispered in the office was now a means for discussion at lunch for the other girls. Rose and Danielle were fucking each other. Rose called every girl "Honey" but when she said that to Danielle there was a different inflection in her voice. It was softer. Gentler. Given with more passion than the others.

They got into the office together and left for home at the same time. Little by little Rose was moving her things into Danielle's Lake Shore apartment. It was a brutal winter and it caused Danielle to catch a bad cold which turned into pneumonia. She missed work for a week. Rose raced to her apartment after the office closed to take care and baby Danielle's recovery to full health. Danielle coated her body with Ben-Gay which was an odor that Rose couldn't stand but she ignored it giving her tea laced with lemon and honey. Plus the antibiotics that the doctor had given to her. She slept a lot and didn't do too much to clean the condo. She let Rose do that when she returned from work.

In total Danielle missed ten work days. When she returned, she was greeted warmly by some girls and not so warmly by others. Rose made her go home every afternoon once all the others returned from lunch. She was still a little worn out from her bout with the cold or flu. Either way, Danielle took a long time to shake the bug. "What if I were to sell the business and the two of us take a nice trip somewhere in the tropics. Or go where it is almost certainly warm all year around," Rose inquired.

"Why would you sell the business when everything is going so well?"

"That's the time to sell it. When everything is going good. Look! You saved us a ton of money when you found all those errors Molly had made. If I can sell it clean while we are free and clear of all the upcoming expenditures, we'll have enough not to worry about money."

"Don't forget the money I have and this condo here where I most likely can make a nice profit for what I bought it for. I paid six hundred thousand when I purchased it, I should make nine hundred thousand or even a million now. But are you sure that you want out of the business?"

"Yes, I do. I would like for us to spend days with each other. We both love the other, the sex is great, and I'd love for us to travel a bit then settle down in Arizona."

"Why Arizona and not Florida?" Danielle asked.

"It doesn't have the humidity that Florida gets in the summer," Rose replied.

"Hot is hot," the tiny blonde said.

"Yes it is, but in Arizona it's a dry heat."

"I've noticed the difference between the two during the summer," Danielle said. "It's going to cost us a fortune in air conditioning no matter where we go. Besides, I'm not one for hurricanes so I guess Arizona is our best bet."

"I fully agree," Rose put her arms about Danielle and held her tight.

"We've got some serious thinking to discuss then," Danielle barely reached her neck to put her arms around.

Danielle sat in a pair of black satin shorts and a tight top which showed her small but luscious breasts. Her nipples were hardened by the air conditioning as Rose allowed the real estate agent tour the house with her. Danielle seen it before and was taking it easy inside from the Phoenix sun. It was almost one hundred-twenty degrees outside. She was sipping on a sugarless iced tea watching them at the agent's automobile. Danielle stood up and went outside. She approached the pair hearing Rose telling the woman that Danielle was not her daughter but a good friend instead.

"Speaking of the devil," Rose smiled at her lover. Danielle rolled her eyes then gave the woman a friendly grin. "What do you think, hon," Rose asked.

"We should go back to that mini-mart to fill up with more tea and discuss it. I have to say it's nice but is that all there is around here?"
