When I woke up the next morning I was feeling better rested than I had felt in a long time. It felt so good to me to have been able to sleep in my own bed last night. Those hospital beds got quite uncomfortable after a very short time.
I got up and took a shower. When I was done I went downstairs to grab something to eat. It was about six in the morning but I figured it was a good time to try to work my muscle kinks out. The last week or two in the hospital had been murder on me.
I was mildly surprised to discover that I wasn't the only one awake. Ellen was up and had already made a pot of coffee. When I came into the kitchen she smiled at me and told me to have a seat and she would make me some breakfast.
I smiled and thanked her for the offer. I sat down at the table and watched Ellen cook. She was a very attractive woman. I could see where her daughters had gotten their looks from.
Ellen was five foot eight. She had red hair just like her daughters. She was skinny, even after having four daughters. It looked like she had never really lost her girlish figure. She had a nice firm butt and a d-cup chest. She was still wearing her nightgown. When she would walk in front of the window to get something from the fridge, I was almost able to see right through her nightgown. I quickly looked away, before she noticed my looking.
"I was planning to go out to my clearing in a few minutes so I could exercise before the girls woke up." I told her. "If you don't mind to much, that is?"
Ellen looked at me surprised but said. "Go ahead. I understand that you are probably feeling a little week at the moment and I'm sure you can't wait to get your strength back."
"Thank you for understanding." I told her. "I shouldn't be too long though, so don't worry about me too much."
She agreed and finished cooking me something. I ate the meal and went out the back door and headed for my little clearing. When I was sure that no one was around I contacted the Elfbow. I told it to surface so I could come aboard.
After the ship had surfaced I climbed aboard. I then had it submerge again. I then went to the medical section and climbed onto the scanning table. I activated the scan and waited. When it was complete I checked the results. I was curious as to what kind of work they had done on me while I was in the hospital.
The results weren't as bad as I had been scared they would be. The only thing I wasn't too happy with was all the human blood they had pumped into me. I just knew that there was going to be consequences to that, but I couldn't figure out what they would be.
"Do you have any idea what the human blood will do to me until my body has a chance to replace it with more of my own blood?" I asked the AI.
"The most likely to happen is just that your immunity system will not be as strong as it normally is." The AI said.
"Ok, well I can probably live with that." I said. "As long as I don't get sick then I should be fine. So how long do you think I will be susceptible to illness?"
"It will be the worst for the next month." The AI told me. "But after that, you should not be any more susceptible than normal, as long as you don't encounter any deadly viruses for about six months."
I thought about the AI's answer for a few minutes. I suppose I will just have to be a little more cautious. But this also might work to my advantage. If I was to come down sick with one of those colds that the humans are always complaining about then it will help to make sure that they didn't think I was any different from the rest of them.
I got up and went into the cargo bay so I could do my Shurcram. I was still tender but I decided to not let myself go easy. I felt a couple of my wounds try to open back up but I ignored them so I could get back in shape.
When I was finished I went to the bridge and checked the progress on the time travel that I had done. The AI stated that it was still not through with it's computations. It also stated that it could probably make some assumptions but they would not be safe to try for quite a while.
I had the AI raise the ship back up so I could disembark. I then returned to the house. I was feeling more stretched than I had in a long time but I did notice that I was feeling a little weaker than usual. I ignored it and went inside and noticed that Ellen and Jason were still the only ones awake. I smiled at them and told them I was going to my room to take a shower. They laughed at the look on my face as I said that.
I laughed with them and went up to my room. I undressed in my room and stepped into the bathroom. I did notice that all the girls' doors were closed. They probably had a long night. I didn't want to wake them. I took a shower and decided that the only way to get back into shape after the forced break was to do as much exercise as possible to get back into shape.
None of my wounds had opened up so I decided that I could afford to take a little run, even though it meant that I was going to have to take a shower again. I figured it was well worth it.
I went back downstairs and told Jason and Ellen that I was heading out for a run. Jason started to say something until Ellen squeezed his arm. Jason looked at Ellen and saw her shake her head ever so slightly. I left the house then and ran for about half an hour. I didn't have the strength yet to be able to run as far as I used to.
When I returned to the house, all the girls had woken up and were in the middle of eating breakfast. I smiled at all of the girls and made my rounds giving all of the girls a kiss and hug. When I was done with my kisses, the girls all told me I needed a shower.
I laughed and said. "Yes my lovelies."
Jason and Ellen both laughed at my remark. I thought it was so cute to watch twenty different girls blush at the same time. I ran upstairs as fast as I could and took a quick shower. I was back down in no time.
I sat down on the couch and was soon surrounded by all the girls. They all started telling me about how school had been for them. These young ladies had all heard the rumors going around about but they had done everything they could to try to straighten out everyone.
We were all still sitting there talking when the girls' parents started showing up. They left one at a time. All the mothers even stayed long enough to ask me how I was doing. When the house was empty again I slumped down into the chair. It had been a long day. I was tired but I felt better. I was able to stay up long enough to eat dinner with everyone.
After dinner was done I went up to my room to go to bed. I was out pretty quick. I was so tired I didn't hear each of the Killions come into my room to check on me. If I had noticed I would have felt nothing but love for all of their concern.
The next morning, I was up early. The doctors had tried to tell me to stay home for another week but I had talked them into giving me the go ahead. I had missed too much school as it was. Besides I wanted to be able to get back so I could help all my girls get the rougher sorts off their backs.
I went to the parents' bedroom door and knocked. It only took a couple minutes for Ellen to come out and ask what was wrong. I smiled and said I just needed her help to change my bandages. It was taking me longer to heal then it normally should but I was still healing at a pretty good speed.
Ellen followed me to my room and went about helping me change my bandages. As soon as she left I got dressed and went down to eat. Ellen had the breakfast ready. I was only downstairs for a couple minutes when the others showed up. It liked I wasn't the only one that was excited about me returning to school. Christina seemed to be the most excited.
I was the first one done eating so I sat at the table and waited for the rest of the family to finish. I was smiling the whole time. I was thinking that all in all I was actually a pretty lucky man. I could live without all the damage that had been done to my body but this family was all I ever dreamed that a family could be.
We left the house after everyone was done. We actually made it to the bus stop a few minutes early. I was excited about my first day back. I sat there thinking my future. I knew what the future held and I knew enough to maybe effect some change. I didn't want to cause to big of ripples but I did want to make this trip worth the time. I decided right then that I was going to stay in this time for a while. Besides I didn't want to leave my new family quite yet.
We climbed onto the bus when it got there and found some seats open. I sat next to Stephanie. We talked about school and all the things that had been said about and formulated a plan. When we got to school I immediately went to the office to let the principle know that I was back and to thank him for trying to quell the teachers while I was gone.
I then went to my first class and sat in my appointed seat. Stephanie joined me soon after. We were early enough that I had to wait almost twenty minutes for the rest of the class to show up. I was leaning in towards Stephanie so no one noticed me there until the teacher came in. When he called the class to order and started to call attendance, it was humorous to watch everyone's reaction when he called my name and I said here.
As everyone's face turned to look at me, Stephanie and I were smiling when the teacher welcomed me back. I just sat through all the class. It seemed that everyone had a crick in their necks because it seemed like everyone and turned to look at me a few times.
All of my other classes turned out to be pretty much more of the same. I just ignored all the looks. I made sure to watch for the ones that didn't seem to be too happy to see me. I filed the faces away in my memory for future reference. I was determined to be more cautious from now on. I wouldn't let anyone hurt anyone around me but I didn't want to end up in the hospital again so I was going to try to be more cautious from now on.
When I returned home, I had to laugh at all the attention that the parents were giving me. You would think that I had never been to school by the way that they acted when I got home.
"Don't worry, I think I can handle myself ok." I told Jason and Ellen. "Besides, I think I have kind of proven that I am more than willing to help others so please just relax. I will make sure that your daughters are fine."
Ellen was laughing at my comment when she said. "Ok, just please don't go to such extreme measures to make sure they are safe. Deal?" She asked me.
"Please don't tell me that you actually think I want that to happen again?" I asked her. Ellen looked like she was about to say something when I continued. "Don't worry; there is nothing I want more than to stay out of the hospital for a while."
Everyone laughed at my last remark. It was good to be a part of this family. I knew I wouldn't be able to stay but I was going to make a go as long as I could. I figured I could at least twenty years out of this fake life before people would start to wonder why I wasn't really aging that much. I was going to live it up for all I was worth.
I took my stuff up to my room and returned to the living room to do my homework. I was shortly joined by my sweet Christina. I was quite surprised when I was joined by the other three sisters shortly after. I actually helped all four sisters with their homework.
Life couldn't get much better than this. I went to bed that night feeling much better about my decision to stay for a while her. I was probably going to be pushing my luck by staying as long as I was planning to stay but I figured I could get away with it.
I continued for the next couple weeks with no more than a couple minor problems. I didn't see how life could get any better. Little did I know that life was about to throw a monkey wrench into my ideal life. The Killions had thrown a bit of a Christmas party for me since I had been in the hospital at the time. The girls finally got to open the presents that I had bought for them. Sure it was January when they held it but I didn't care.
I took some of the money that I had received and I bought a special gift for all the special girls in my life. Jessica, I bought a hair care kit. I had noticed that she was always pretending to brush her hair when she was watching me. I think she realized that maybe she had been caught because she blushed when she opened the gift.
I bought Cassandra a personalized office set because it seemed to me that she was always writing and such. When she realized that the pen and pencil were made of solid gold I thought she would have a heart attack. I just said she was worth it. She gave me a rib crushing hug. I felt her pert little breasts pressing against my chest but I tried to ignore it.
I bought Stephanie a high dollar chemistry set because I had noticed that she seemed to really like the subject. Besides I always figured that maybe I could really help her excel at the field.
Christina I bought the only thing I could think of for her. When she first opened her box, she was surprised to find a slightly smaller box inside. She smiled and opened it as well. She found an even smaller box. Christina looked like she was getting a little mad after opening ten boxes. The rest of the family was laughing by then.
When she opened the last box, she was surprised to only find an envelope. She opened it to find a card from me and a gift certificate for the local sports supply store. She hugged me and said thank you.
"What, you're not going to search that last box to make sure that was all that was in it?" I asked her. I had a smile on my face so she started looking through all the paper I had stuffed inside the last box.
Christina had searched through all the paper and was just about to throw the paper away when she felt something inside one of the pieces of paper. She slowly opened the paper. She started crying when she found the gift. I had bought her white gold necklace that had "Baby Doll" spelled across the flat part in the middle. It was spelled with rubies. It had cost me almost six grand for the necklace but I didn't let anyone know that.
I did some research for my gift for Ellen. I bought her a ring that had the birthstone of each of us children mounted in it in order. It didn't cost as much as Christina's gift but barely. She was going to say something through the tears but I just told her that she deserved it.
I knew that Jason wouldn't accept any fancy gift so I just bought him a gift card for the local farm and home store. I didn't tell him how much was on it. It would be a while before he discovered there was ten thousand dollars put on it. By then it was to late for him to give it back.
It was January when I got my first ever heartbreak. I had gone to school shortly after the delayed Christmas party when it happened. I was sitting out front of the school, waiting for the bus for home, when Becky sat down next to me with tears in her eyes. I tried to ask her what was wrong but she couldn't answer me for a few minutes.
"I have something to tell you." She told me.
I had already learned to hate it when people started a conversation that way. But I kept quiet until I was sure that I knew what she was trying to tell me. I took her hands and waited for her to tell me.
"My dad just told all of us last night that he was being transferred." She said through her sniffles. I wasn't sure I heard her right so I kept listening. "He told us last night. He is being moved to Florida. We leave at the end of this week."
I was stunned. This wasn't something I was expecting. Becky was one of my first girlfriends. I had plenty of other girls that wanted to take her place but I didn't want them. I kept a straight face on though because I didn't want to make this any harder for her.
It was already Thursday, so I didn't understand what she meant by the end of the week. I thought I understood this planet's whole calendar system but if she meant the end of this week then I only had a day or two left. I decided to ask her what she meant by the end of this week.
"I am leaving Saturday morning." She said. "I won't be coming into school tomorrow. The movers will be there tomorrow morning. Daddy said I had to pack up my own room so I won't be in." Becky was really crying now. I just put my arm around her and held her.
I never did see her after that day. I was down when I got home. The Killions noticed my mood but because Becky had told Stephanie about her leaving, Stephanie told everyone else and they left me alone.
After dinner I went to bed. I could just lie in bed and think about the girl I had just lost. I never even got to give her one of my charms. Just because I was used to losing people, I was able to get on with my life.
It is surprising how losing someone important to you can make you lose interest in the rest of life though. I had started to increase my grades so that I soon had the highest GPA in school. I was thinking about seeing if I could graduate the school early. I even went to the school councilor to ask if I could go ahead and pass a grade or two. She told me that by the looks of my grades she would probably be able to get me into tenth grade next year. She said she would have to talk to my parents about it first but she said she would do what she could. I thanked her and went back to class.
By the time May rolled around, I had settled back into school life. I had passed up all the other kids by now. I still had fun with the five girls that were close to me. I had given up trying to get past kissing. I had lost my desire to go further. I still took Jessica and Stephanie on dates. I even took Cassandra and Kelly out a few times. It just wasn't the same without Becky's smiling face.
I'll admit that I can sulk sometimes but it was my first real crush so I didn't quite know how to handle it. I was actually starting to have fun again though when the last day of school rolled around. When I found out how long the summer vacation was I almost choked. I was at a complete loss as to what I was going to be able to do for the next two months.
The last day of school rolled around and I was called into the councilor's office. I was surprised to see both Jason and Ellen there. I was worried for a minute. I couldn't figure out what I had done wrong. The smile that the councilor had on her face did relax me but I was still confused as to why I had been called here while the parental units were here.
"Well now that we are all here I guess we can start." The councilor started. "Do you remember why you came to me a couple months ago Jakstar?" She asked me.
I breathed a sigh of relief. I remembered that conversation alright. I hadn't heard from her since then but I guess this was about that conversation. I was just thinking about what her response would be when she continued.
"Well I have spoken with all of your teachers Jakstar. What they have told me confirms my own thoughts on the matter." She said. She looked at Jason and Ellen and continued. "A couple months ago, Jakstar here, asked me if it would be possible for him to advance farther than he already has. Normally we try not to do such a thing but after seeing his grades and the ease in which he got those grades, well we have decided to give him the chance."
Ellen looked like she couldn't decide whether she wanted to be proud or concerned. Jason looked like he was just plain proud. "That is if you want to let him do that. We can just leave him with his class if you would prefer?" the councilor said.
Jason was the first to speak. "So you are saying that he is smart enough to jump a grade?" He asked.
The councilor smiled before saying. "Actually, by all the data we have, he could easily be a senior right now but we try not to let kids jump to far. We actually gave him another IQ test a couple weeks ago. You should be proud of your son. He scored higher than most college graduates I know." She said.
Jason seemed to be real proud to hear that. Ellen though looked more worried. "But how will he make any friends if he skips a grade?" Ellen asked. I had a feeling that this might pose a little bit of a problem.
"I will be fine mom." I told her. "Besides, Cassandra will be in that grade to so I won't be completely alone. Please don't try to hold me back. This is what I want."
"Yeah but you just turned thirteen." She said. "What if you don't like it?" Ellen asked me.
"I will be fine." I told her. "This really is what I want. Besides, we all know you can't get onto the football team until you are a sophomore." I said with a grin.
Ellen and the councilor both laughed at that remark. I think that relaxed her, but I don't think she realized I was serious. Jason though saw the determination in my eyes. I wasn't going to make this harder on myself by telling Ellen how serious I was.
"So do you both agree to let him skip freshman year?" The councilor asked my parents.
They both agreed and I jumped up and hugged them. They both smiled and I left to finish my last day of school.
When I got home that evening with the girls, I relaxed into the sofa. I was just sitting there thinking about my life when Ellen called us all to dinner. When I went into the dining room and sat at my spot, I noticed Jason looking at me funny. I tried to ignore him and just eat. I had barely taken two bites of my food when Jason spoke.
"So Jakstar?" Jason said. "Are you really ready to go into the tenth grade next year?" He asked.
Well there went my plans to tell the girls about my plans later. "Yes I am actually. I can't wait. I was getting bored with the classes because they were too easy. Maybe jumping a grade will help."
The girls all had their mouths wide open. I couldn't help but laugh. Jason had obviously let it slip on purpose. He was laughing as hard as I was. The girls all started laughing. I thought they would be mad at me but they all just seemed happy for me.
We continued to talk about my advancement through dinner. When we were done we went to the living room to watch a little TV. When I went to bed that night I was determined to make the best of this little stint at life.
For the next two weeks, I was able to help Jason catch up on all of his chores. It then slowed down some. I didn't know what to do to occupy my time. I was now doing my Shurcram for nearly four hours every day. It was the only way for me to use up any of my excess energy. I was even able to keep taking my girls out on dates.
Jessica and I never did get past some heavy petting. I was beginning to think that I would never lose my virginity. Stephanie and Cassandra were on my list of heavy petting also.
Right after school let out, Christina started coming into my room at night after everyone else had gone to bed. She always tried to sneak in but I always woke up and just help up the blankets for her. She always smiles and jumped into bed with me. I don't know how well I would be able to sleep anymore if I didn't have her to keep my blankets warm.
When all the work started to slow down I started asking Jason to teach me how to play football. It didn't seem to be that hard of a game. I was of a mind that it didn't matter to much what I did in this life; I didn't think it would affect the time line.
I worked all through the summer to become good at football. Jason was a good teacher and we practiced every day. We were even able to get all the girls in on it to help me learn to scrimmage. Two weeks before school started again, Jason told me that he didn't think he could teach me much more.
It was a Monday when he told me this. I decided to go out for my evening run by myself. I had started running twice a day now so I could run with Christina in the morning and in the evenings I would run a different route that I used to try to improve my speed. I had let myself grow over the summer to almost six foot tall. I now weighed almost a hundred and ninety pounds. But I knew the only way any of the coaches would ever let me get on the field was if I had something that no one else had so I was shooting to be the fastest.
I knew I would have no problem but I had also learned to never underestimate my opponent. So every night that I ran I would cover about six miles at the fastest run that I could muster. When I pushed myself I could return to the house in about twenty three minutes.
I was pushing myself today to try and beat my best time. My route usually took me by Becky's old house. I was very surprised to find a moving truck in front of the house. I didn't bother to slow down because after all I was trying to work on beating my fastest time. I did however watch the movers unloading the truck as I passed.
When I returned home and checked my time I noticed that it was tied with my previous best. I shook my head and vowed to try harder next time. I went in and took a shower to wash the little bit of sweat off my body.
When I was done I went downstairs and looked for Jason. I found him sitting in front of the T.V. in his favorite recliner. He motioned for me to sit down when I asked him if we could talk.
"Just curious?" I asked him. "Have you heard anything about some new people moving into Becky's old house?"
He shook his for a second while he thought. He then looked at me with a confused look on his face before asking. "No I haven't Jakstar, why do you ask?"
"I was just curious." I told him. "I was out for my evening run and when I passed in front of the house I saw a moving truck out front."
"Well I'm sure we will hear something sooner or later so don't you worry too much about it." Jason said.
I smiled at him and went up to my room so I could grab one of the football playbooks that Jason had gotten for me. I was reading it again to make sure I had the overall idea of the game in my head.
I returned downstairs a little later when I was called to dinner. I wasn't much into the conversation though because I was preoccupied with the mystery of who was moving into Becky's old house. It was only a couple miles up the road from our house. I was almost hoping that it was a boy I could try to make friends with. Jason and Ellen were still hoping I would make some male friends.
The girls all saw pretty quickly that I was distracted so they soon left me alone to my thoughts. Even Christina had backed off this summer. She still snuck into bed with me each night but other than that, she would leave me alone through the day. I didn't know what was going through her head but I figured it could wait. Besides she seemed to be handling it on her own anyhow.
I kept running my evening routes every night for the next week. The moving truck seemed to take two days to unload. I took Sunday off from running like I usually do. When Monday rolled around, I went shopping for some new clothes for school with the rest of the Killions. I convinced Jason to let me pay to give all the girls a large new selection of school clothes. We just told the girls that Jason had won some money. They seemed to buy it.
We returned home at about six in the evening. I told the Killions that I was going for a run again. I changed into my running clothes and went outside to stretch. After twenty minutes of stretching I was ready. I started pounding the gravel at a very fast pace.
I was a couple miles into my run when I had one of those feelings telling me that I was being watched. I looked around and realized I was in front of Becky's old house. I slowed enough to look around. I thought I saw a couple pairs of eyes looking at me through one of the upstairs windows. When I looked more closely in that direction, the eyes disappeared. I decided to ignore it for now and get on with my run. I put on the after burners again and took off.
When I returned back to the house, I checked my time again and was mildly surprised to find that even with my slight slowdown, I was only a few seconds behind my usual time. I figured I was finally about to make an improvement.
I did my usual routine for the next couple days. Every time I passed in front of Becky's old house I would feel the eyes and whenever I would slow down to look they would disappear again. Finally, on the Friday before school started, I decided to stop and introduce myself to the new neighbors.
I ran the two miles to their house and then walked up to their front door. I waited until I felt the eyes again before I stopped and turned towards the house. The eyes disappeared faster than usual. I guess they were surprised that I had actually stopped this time.
I had set myself a faster pace than usual this evening because I was a little excited to meet the new people. I walked slowly up to the front door so I would have plenty of time to get my breathing under control. When I knocked on the front door I had regained my normal breathing. I waited almost two minutes for anyone to open the door.
The woman that answered the door was quite attractive. She seemed to be in her mid thirties. She had blonde hair and brown eyes. She was about five foot six inches tall and she had a very nice figure. She was slim but not skinny. She had an almost athletic figure. She had about a thirty six c chest. She had a very pleasant smile.
