Science Fiction Sex Story: Chapter 20: Baby showers and the interviews - "Hospital of Bangalore" takes place twenty five years after "A Better World II." The hospital was established to do reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation to the survivors of the devastation of the asteroid attack in "A Better World" Bangalore is a moon of a J class planet in the Tau-Ceti system. The head of the hospital has gone a lot bonkers. There be strange beasts on Bangalore.

The Saturday after Christmas was Josie's baby shower. James' and Joe's wives, Beth and Mira Spio and Sushi all went together. I had dad and Alex escape to James' home. We played cards. I made reservations at Cafe Davis in Santa Rosa for all of us for dinner.
New Years Eve was a party at the James' house. It was sort of bittersweet. Soon after the party we would all be going to our homes on Bangalore and Felandia. Sushi, Beth Spio, and I would stay until the interviews at the end of January. Sushi, Beth and Mira Spio and I still had to visit Paul and his set at Mendocino. We planned on spending two days at Little River and three days at the ranch at Mendocino. I wanted to show the Pigmy Forest to Beth and Mira Spio.
We flew to Little River and were met by Anne. She had a horse trailer on her van. We went to their home above Mendocino. It was high enough to be above the ubiquitous FOG. There was a lot of commotion about our four kittens. We got the great news that Anne was pregnant. We spent two quiet days on the ranch.
Fred and Elizabeth Olafson took us back to the Little River Inn. Sally was glad to see us again. She apologized to Beth and Mira Spio. The inn was not centaur-compliant. They had to use the park for their bathroom. We were able to eat in the Wisteria Room. Beth really liked the abalone. Abalone would be another cold water animal for Bangalore.
We flew back to Sonoma County. I received the good news that the committee had selected forty doctors and sixty nurses to interview for the hospital. We would have interviews the last two weeks in January. I recruited James and Beth Savage to serve on the nurse interviews. They were in addition to Beth Spio and Marsha Winslow, Head of Nursing, from the hospital. Dr Oedipus, myself, Neil Langridge, Shannon Crosby and Marsha Savage would interview the doctors.
The interview teams spent the next week selecting the doctors and nurses we were going to offer jobs. All new staff were given round trip tickets to Bangalore. At any time during the first one hundred and eighty days the new employee could exercise the ticket. After probation the doctor or nurse would have to provide for their own way back to Earth if they wanted to go home. We selected the twenty doctors and forty nurses during our initial interview. We had 100 % of the selected agree to go to Bangalore. I knew I would have to make another trip in June.
Sushi, Margaret and Jane Farquar conducted interviews for teachers to immigrate to Bangalore. They had six teachers and one teacher/administrator. We knew that would please Sally and Francis.
Sushi, Beth and Mira Spio and I headed back to Bangalore on February twelfth. We all were ready for our homes.
