>>Maybe. I was watching the drone while you were attacking it. It seems that its shield can deflect up to five attacks at full strenth. After that, a small gap appears in it for about two seconds before the shield is fully recharged again.

>>Great. Now we just have to figure out how to attack it six times simultaneously, Jake mindspoke half sarcastically.

>>Actually, I think I know a way how. You remember how they said we could gather energy into a mass without having to directly be in contact with it? Well, what if we were to create five such balls at different locations, launch them all at the probe, and then, while its charging its shield, blast the gap in it?

>>I guess it's worth a try. Just make sure it doesn't sense you or the energy balls.

Jake withdrew his mind from the connection, and felt the contact fade. Focusing, he created two balls of energy, one 15 feet from his current position, one 30 feet away. Dana would be responsible for the other three, and he would be the one to launch the final attack. "Simulation ended. All 14 drones disabled. Time: fifteen minutes and 29 seconds. Congradulations Mr. Trenton and Ms. Young. You have passed." The speakerphone announced.

Grinning, Jake and Dana ran to each other and embraced. Neither minded the layer of sweat and dust that covered both of them.

We will be arriving on the Federation Capitol planet Halcyon shortly, and there I doubt either of you will get much rest."
