Chapter 11

The Wizard's questions kept running through Wei Lin's mind: "Are you happy with the limits imposed on your people for so long? Will you sit idly as the few freedoms so recently gained are stripped away? If you had it within your means to finally deliver the benefits of liberty and freedom to your people, would you do so? If some personal sacrifice was required to set your people free, would you make it?"

Here she was part of an all volunteer unit preparing to re-enter China and do battle for the hearts and minds of her people. The Wizard had given them many powerful tools to use in their attempts at freeing their people. The first battle would be for the minds and hearts of the people and was only a matter of days away. Wei Lin would be taking part and she kept thinking about what words she could say that would explain things to her fellow countrymen.

The Wizard was very pleased with the attitude and spirit of the "Wizard's Chinese Contingent" or "WCC" as they took to calling themselves. They had used their preparation time well and were now as ready as possible to begin their work. With each he sent one of his OAI servants in the form of an animal or bird, a personal protection charm that erected a shield when weapons were present, and a communication charm to talk with the Wizard, Members of the Wizard's Conclave, or other members of the WCC.

Today was the day! They began appearing all over china in places where large groups of people were gathered and began to share with their fellow countryman the things they had learned about the plague, the massive death toll around the globe, what the Wizard had done to save humanity, the terrible plan hatched and executed by General Chang himself, and the side effect of the plague — complete sterility of every male in China.

They were met with a variety of reactions ranging from complete acceptance to total denial. Often the soldiers in the People's Expansion Brigade would show up where they were speaking only to find they were completely immobilized.

Enough time had passed since the beginning of the plague for the truth about the sterilization of the male population to be supported with data. There were no new pregnancies! The Wizard's representative was telling the truth! Once this had time to sink in, Dragon's flying in the skies above, talking animals, and magical tools from the Wizard all served to back up the claims made by the members of the WCC.

Overnight a special cadre of WCC members was beamed into the "secured" residence of General Chang. They were accompanied by a member of the Wizard's Conclave — Michael Telford. Pointing his Ruler's Sword at the sleeping form of the General, Michael kept the man from waking while he was bound and gagged. The same scene was being repeated with each of the top "officials" in the General's corrupt government. Jim Bridgert, Rob Matthews, Mike Telford, and several dozen other members of the Wizard's Conclave were involved in these "arrests".
