I was drying off when I looked up. "Lena?" I asked. Tamara turned around. She was wearing the same outfit as Lena had on earlier.
"Do you like it?"
"Absolutely! But what's going on with the Daisy Maes?"
"Lena, Christina and I are all wearing this outfit to Santa Fe. We thought it would be interesting."
"Turn around," I asked.
She turned around and her shorts just barely covered her butt. It gave just a hint of ass cheek. The top was tied up and the buttons were open and hugged her breasts. My poor cock was twitching already. I loved my lady.
"Are you okay with this?" she asked.
"Yeah, I am. Are you going to be able to handle all the looks and catcalls?"
"Yes, are you, though?" she replied.
"I'm okay with that."
I put on a pair of jeans, a Polo-style shirt, and my boots; I was ready.
We walked into the den and Christina was waiting in her Daisy Mae outfit. Her shirt had more titties in it but Tamara and Lena had her in the leg and ass department, to my taste anyway.
I went out and pulled the Jag out of the garage. I didn't think they would be buying the place out as late as it was going to be when we got there.
They all walked out just as I was closing the garage door. I opened the door for Tamara while the girls piled in the back. Lena sat behind her mother and Christina was behind me.
The drive to Santa Fe from Albuquerque only took an hour up Interstate 25. Many people commuted between the two.
I was lucky and found a parking spot by the La Fonda hotel near the plaza. The Native Americans set up spots on the sidewalk on the north side of the plaza. They sold their jewelry there. It's mostly silver and turquoise. While we were walking and browsing, I saw a row of necklaces. I stopped and picked out three that would hang down between the open cleavages of my ladies. I bought them and put them on each one. They each kissed and thanked me.
I kept an eye out for any rude gentlemen. Every time one of the girls would bend over to look at the jewelry, anyone behind us would get a show of a beautiful ass. I noticed there were a group of four guys in their twenties that seemed to be following us. They weren't looking at any of the jewelry but were moving at the same pace we were.
"I think it's time to go to the Ore House for dinner." I led them across the plaza area towards the restaurant. We were about halfway across when I heard someone say, "You fine ladies need to dump the old guy and party with us."
I looked over my shoulder and they were just behind Christina. She had been straggling a little. As I turned two of them came up on each side of her and closed in. One grabbed her arm to stop her.
I turned my head back over my shoulder, "Tamara, you and Lena hurry to the restaurant. Now!"
"Excuse me guys, but do you mind leaving my lady alone."
"Your lady? Man, you're too old to have one much less three fine ladies. We want to party," said the one in a blue T-shirt.
"She doesn't want to party with you. Now leave her alone." I noticed that the other two had made their way around to my right and left. I was now pretty much surrounded. The time was around six and the plaza wasn't that crowded. I noticed a few people had moved away from this little ruckus.
"Christina, go join Tamara and Lena at the restaurant."
She tried to take a step but the one that had her arm tightened his grip.
As you can guess, I was in a situation that called for drastic measures. If I didn't do something, Christina would be in the hands of four men. If I did, someone was going to get hurt. Probably me.
I looked past the one in front of me holding Christina's arm and pointed with my right hand, "Cops!"
They did what I expected and they looked that direction. I drove my left boot straight through the knee of the blue shirted one. He went down with a scream. I stepped to the right as the one holding Christina's arm turned back to face me. I drove three fingers into his larynx. He collapsed. "Run!" I told Christina as I turned to face the other two.
The one on my left lunged at me and I grabbed his wrist and pulled across my body and he went flying by. The other had pulled a knife and I did not want to get cut. I was reaching to pull my belt off when I heard, "Freeze! Police!"
The one with the knife started to take a step towards me and again I heard, "Freeze! Or I'll shoot!"
I stood still. The knife guy stopped and turned to see a Santa Fe policeman with his gun drawn. Two more officers ran up. The guy with the knife dropped it. The one I had thrown across my body started to run away and was tackled by one of the other officers.
By the time the officers sorted out the situation and took statements from some witnesses, the ambulance had arrived to take the first two to the hospital.
I was sitting on a bench with Christina beside me. Tamara and Lena were behind us. Officer Bryant began taking our statements; Christina went first.
When he asked me, I told him about seeing the guys following us through the Indian jewelry area. I told him I had a bad feeling and decided to go to the restaurant. I told him how they closed in on Christina. While I was speaking, another officer came up and pulled Officer Bryant away.
He came back with a very solemn look on his face, "Mr. Kegler, I'm going to have to ask you to come to the station for further questions."
Tamara jumped in, "Why are you taking him to the station? He was the one jumped by four men."
"I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but the one you punched in the throat was DOA at the hospital. Since there is a death involved, we have to take some formal statements at the station. You aren't under arrest."
I tried to calm Tamara down and Lena seemed to be the calmest of the group. Christina was still reeling from her assault.
"Can you give me a minute, Officer Bryant?" He said he would wait nearby.
"Lena, call Tom on my cell phone. Explain carefully that I'm being detained at the Santa Fe police station. Tell him there has been a man killed and that I need him now. Then get your mother and Christina back to the car. Ask one of the policemen to escort you. You can drive the Jag to the police station. Did you get all that?" I said as I handed her my phone.
"Yes, I'll call Tom right now."
"Tamara, I need you to calm down and help Lena with Christina. I love you and everything's going to be all right." I kissed her and hugged Christina.
I turned and walked over to Officer Bryant. He led me to his patrol car and he asked me to get in the passenger seat. I got the impression he was trying to be as polite as possible. If he had put me in the back, then it would have appeared like an arrest.
He didn't say a word all the way to the station. Once there, he led me to a room like you see on television: barren except for a table and several wooden chairs. Yes, there was even the one-way mirror behind the interviewer's chair. Officer Bryant asked if I wanted anything to drink and I asked for a Diet Coke. He left me alone in the room. I was beginning to feel like a criminal.
Bryant came back in with the drink and sat to the right of me. A man came in and introduced himself as Detective George Wallace. I shook his hand and asked if he was kin to the former presidential candidate. He said no but was often asked that question.
