I was awakened by a sound. I opened my eyes and Lena was putting on her t-shirt. The sight as the shirt slid down her body was exquisite. My thoughts raced back to the conversation Tamara and I had earlier. I wondered what might come of that. But for now, I'd just have to settle for the visuals.
Lena looked over at me and whispered, "We are leaving. Thanks for having us over. You have an awesome place."
I waved as she and Christina left. I gently caressed Tamara's shoulder. She just moaned lightly and snuggled into me. I grabbed a towel off the table next to us to cover her and then dozed back off.
Sometime in the night, Tamara woke me as she was getting off the lounger. "I've got to go pee," she said and sauntered into the house.
I decided we could move into the bedroom and finish out the night. I glanced at the clock and it was three-thirty am. I didn't have anything planned but wasn't sure if Tamara did. I asked her when she came out of the bathroom.
"No, I don't have anything planned," she said. "I do have to pack for the trip. Do I need to pack anything special?"
"It might not be a bad idea to take at least one evening dress. The partners may want to go out someplace fancy for dinner," I said. "Now come to bed and we can continue this conversation when we get back up."
We were asleep in no time.
I woke up and the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and sleeping beauty was groaning. "Good morning," I said.
"Ugh..." was the reply and she pulled the covers up over her head.
I got up, did my SSS in the bathroom and started the coffee. I heated some danish and cut up some fruit for breakfast. I had to go ask Tamara if she was going to get up or laze the day away in bed. I dodged the pillow that was her answer.
We had an uneventful breakfast. I didn't realize it but she had pretty much killed the bottle of wine the previous night and she had a slight hangover.
I logged on and opened the e-mail from Sheila. The itinerary was there for the trip. I called Tamara to join me in my study.
"Our flight is at nine am so we need to be at the airport by seven-thirty. Do you want to spend the night here or do you want me to pick you up at your place in the morning?" I asked.
"I tell you what, why don't you pick me up in the morning about six-forty five. Since we are going to spend Monday through Thursday together, we can sleep separately tonight," she said.
I hadn't thought much about the past few days but we had spent every night together since we met. "That sounds okay to me although I'll miss having you next to me tonight."
"Me too, but I'll survive," she teased. "In fact, I'm going to get dressed and leave you right now. I have some shopping to do and I want to call Audrey. I need to talk to her today."
She gathered her things, kissed me goodbye, and left.
I called the clubhouse and told them I wanted to play that morning. The pro told me Tom was scheduled to play with only a threesome at eleven. I asked him to pencil me in with them. I then called Tom to make sure I wouldn't be intruding on a business deal. He told me that I was more than welcome.
That was a stroke of luck for I really wanted to talk to Tom before I went to Scottsdale. I quickly cleaned up and drove to the clubhouse.
I arranged to ride with Tom and we teed off on schedule.
I asked Tom what he thought about the deal. He said that he hadn't received the prospectus yet, but from what he had discussed with Bob, it looked pretty good. I told him that I was a little cautious about the deal. I also mentioned that I wanted to make sure that the land purchase was already set and that I had some guarantee of collateral. I told him I didn't want the consortium to be based on paper. He said he would look into it.
