Night was approaching and the stars were bright. The mosquitoes were just beginning to arrive. “It’s a new technology,” Nils explained to Emma as he launched the drone. “The idea is that the noise it makes attracts mosquitoes, and they follow it to their doom.”

Emma expressed some doubt. “I thought mosquitoes were attracted to blood.”

“That’s what the drone’s red paint represents,” Nils clarified.

“Well, I’m just glad mosquitoes aren’t that big—although it would make them easier to spot.”

Nils and Emma watched the drone circling their campsite.

“I think it’s working,” Nils said. “See how they’re swarming after it. I’ll just steer those little fuckers into oblivion. We won’t even have to sleep in the tent. We can make love under the stars.”

It was not quite dawn when Emma awoke with a scream. The thrash of her body roused Nils.

“What is it?” he asked.

“The mosquito,” Emma said. “This giant mosquito. He was— He was— He was fucking me, Nils. And he was huge. He was fucking my mouth with his tail. He was pawing my breasts with his paws. And his mouth was sucking my clit. It was so good, Nils, and I was about to come when you bashed his brains out.”
