Chapter 21

Koya asked Alex to stay once the meeting was over. He asked that they meet somewhere away from here and could get drinks and food at the same time. Alex immediately understood that Koya did not want to discuss anything here at the organizations site. They quickly gathered their stuff and departed in separate limos.

The randomness of the restaurant with bar ensured that surveillance of any kind was impossible. Asking for a back corner booth increased the difficulty of surveillance since it was next to the door going to the kitchen. With servers constantly coming and going it would be almost impossible to listen to their conversation.

Koya started off by apologizing for the extremely harsh and length of Catia’s punishment.

Alex quickly responded that he appreciated how Koya dealt with the unfortunate situation and that Catia was the one who did not maintain her composure thus earned the punishment. Koya thanked Alex for understanding and then asked if Alex had any companies or businesses with Sophia or that might even occasionally deal with her.

Alex said he knew of two but there could be others he was not aware of and asked why.

Koya said that he needed to sell or trade those companies or businesses as soon as possible. This was just a precaution to prevent further problems. Then Koya said he would buy or trade for the companies. They both looked to Aika and Rabynya. The women both quickly pulled out tablets and began to work on them.

Koya then said that Sophia would be observed and visited both announced and unannounced to ensure that she was in compliance with her punishment and had not tampered with the Scorn. What she was probably not aware of was a safety check was done just before she left to ensure the Scorn was fit properly and while this was done special seals were placed where they could not be seen without knowing how to look for them.

Every time she has a health, safety, and compliance check these seals will be checked to ensure she had not tampered with her punishment. I do not believe she will risk earning a harsher punishment but you never know what some people believe that can get away with. I also am suggesting you get rid of any companies or businesses that she is part of to prevent her from trying something, again I don’t think she will but as I said you never know.

Also know that there are people whose only job is to monitor all organizational personnel’s financial actions. This is both to protect the individual and the organization. Sometimes business transactions involve organizational members without either knowing. This could cause problems if not prevented. There are multiple levels of separation to prevent illegal or inappropriate business deals from occurring as only one source per company or business is allowed and they only provide data on actions and transactions that go into a program that can detect if there are actions or transactions occurring between two or more organizational members. If and when this occurs a different third party is notified about the individuals involved and the action or transaction to enable them to advise all parties of the potential problem. In most cases it is a known joint venture and if so, does not require notification.

There have only been a few situations where neither party knew they were about to cause a conflict and even fewer situations like the one you and I entered into which resulted in ‘asshole’ losing everything. Since I know about this monitoring as do most of the senior leaders. We were able to do what we did because it was camouflaged so well into multiple actions that all tied together into a much larger transaction that could and did provide an excuse for everything, add to that ‘asshole’ doing everything that he did and nobody would have cared and some would have demanded to be included.
