I set off, seeking ... I was not sure what. On my way to the fields, I found myself disoriented by the most intoxicating aroma. I couldn’t help myself—I had to investigate. I fluttered my way through the opening.

The girl sat on a chair of provocative pink, a dreamy smile upon her lips. I flew closer and discerned some of the scent on her finger.

I landed. I sipped. Such delicious sap, but only a scant amount.

The girl waved me away and opened her pants. Soon her fingers were in her flower churning more and more of that special sap. I was nearly delirious. Yes, I need more, I thought.

—I need more, the girl growled, and away she went.

I followed her into the field where we came upon a boy with a bunny who, it turned out, was easily bribed.

But no sooner had the bunny vanished than a young roo and his mom happened along.

—Mama, what are they doing? young roo asked.

—Why, Junior, they’re making—

—I can see her pouch.

—It’s not her pouch, Junior, it’s her—

—It looks like a flower.

—Yes, Junior, it’s her—

—But he’s sticking his plower into her flower. There’s some ... Is it honey, Mama?

—Not honey exactly, it’s—

—It looks like honey, Mama. Are they making honey?

—Yes, dear, they’re—

—Can I taste it?

I did not tarry but flew straight and fast, for up ahead was what all along I sought.
