Chapter 3: The Proposal

On that Sunday around 11.30 am, I took my bicycle and went to Gina’s place, when I arrived Gina was already dressed with a tight grey skirt showing the shape of her body from the waist to the hips and also a tight blue blouse, she looked beautiful and sexy. We had a drink in the verandah then lunch inside. After lunch the father said it is too early to go out better we wait another hour, that gave Gina and I time to sit together and talk, We went out sitting in the shade part of the verandah, I told Gina that I am sorry for playing with her legs the night before and I hope she was not upset about that, she said she was not upset at all, she enjoyed it much it was unfortunate that I had to do it on the dress, next time if we have an opportunity I can do it directly on the legs, I said would you do it on my legs too, she replied ‘why not’. Gina said that I am the first boy in her life she never had a boyfriend, I asked her if she had ever kissed a boy, she replied never that I will be the first one. She was going to lift up her skirt to show me her bare legs completely same time the mother arrived with coffee, we had coffee together with May and talked until time to go out.

We went to a garden at the foot of a mountain where there is a nice view of the City, Gina and I sat on a bench and I told her that I will officially tell her father my intention to marry her. I said by doing so I will be able to visit her more often and have more time together, Gina was worried in case the father denied my request. We visited another garden near the race course and finally to a beautiful one near the harbour. Gina, May and I were sitting in a small gazebo looking around, the father was standing near a small wall looking at the boats in the harbour, I said to Gina wait here I am going to talk to Daddy (the name Gina called her father), I went to the father and said Daddy, I want to tell you officially that I love Gina and want to marry her, he said does Gina knows that you will tell me that, I said yes I asked Gina first, he then asked me if my mother knows about Gina and I, I said not yet but as soon she is back I will tell her. He said ok go back to Gina and send May to me.

May and Daddy talked for about ten minutes then May came back to us hugging and kiss me saying ‘congratulations’, she did same to Gina, I embraced Gina giving her a soft kiss on the lips and said ‘I love you’, she replied I love you too. May said that Daddy wants me to stay for dinner and will talk to us later.

During dinner, Daddy said that we should not talk about my proposal until my mother accepts and also until the parents of Daddy give their blessing (which was according to Indian tradition). I said as soon my mother is back home I will bring her to Gina’s place to meet Gina and her parents after which Daddy can arrange the visit to the grandparents.

May told me that as respect to the grandparents, Gina and herself will wear sarees when going there, I asked if I need to wear something special, Daddy said if I want he can find a long Indian shirt for me, he showed me the one he will wear, I told him to get a pale blue one for me, Gina said she will wear a pale blue saree to match with my shirt. Daddy said that I can come to see Gina during the week, I said I will probably come the Tuesday evening.

Daddy wanted to drive me back home, I said better I take my bicycle which I will need the next day to go to work, I said good night to the parents, Gina accompanied me outside and told me to call her as soon I arrive home so that she knows I am safe, she also gave me a note and kissed me good night. As soon I was on the road, I read the note which asked me to come Monday evening that Daddy will do night shift for two weeks. Arriving at home I called Gina to let her know I am at home and love her, she said she loves me too. After the proposal and acceptance by Daddy, Gina and I were officially committed to marry.
