Kitten
When Danny got home he almost tripped over his Kitten who had moved her pet bed into the centre of his bedroom door so she would wake up when he got home.
Only one thing mattered in her life and that was her Master. Danny had found her on the street two years back and had brought her home and trained her from day one. She was pretty much perfect now.
As loyal a Belgian Malinois the most loyal dog breed on the planet. He would bet her against one of them anytime. Kitten was special. She was one-hundred percent introverted, over-the-top empathetic who couldn’t make a decision under pressure to save her own life. Unless she had another more empowering reason to do so and she had found it in Danny Boy Freison, her Master.
She was his opposite in so many ways that they almost made each other whole. Maybe the saddest thing of all was that they were both very capable of understanding their reality, knowing how society would destroy them if they understood how they truly thought. They could only trust each other.
Kitten never left the house anymore unless at Danny’s side. Danny was considering changing her name from Kitten to house mouse. She was afraid now to leave the house when she found herself amongst five people or more because she would absorb their energy and if anyone had intense negative energy it could drive her into a week-long depression.
She had decided she would stay with Danny where she was safe and protected. All she had to do was take every breath with his happiness and needs in mind. Her life was to make his better in any way he desired. It was simple really and she was safe.
As an empath Kitten could always feel Danny’s rage burning deep inside him. Danny could put off more negative energy in seconds than Kitten felt would normally take ten or more people to emit. Danny was very powerful, and he protected Kitten. Had protected Kitten as he saved her life that time. She could absorb Danny, they were bonded. What Danny needed she had to provide.
There wasn’t much Danny found as entertaining as causing trouble between friends. He was what some would call a shit disturber, pot stirrer, and troublemaker extraordinaire.
Danny would move into a group and quickly assess who were the leaders, what type of leaders they were and where their weak spots were. It didn’t matter if Danny walked in on an old lady’s bridge game he would give the table the same assessment. It was what kept him alive, his constant vigilance and awareness. An overly intelligent man in a boy’s body with a blue-collar man’s mouth amongst real men, Danny was always at risk.
Danny had learned to survive in the orphanage and he had mainly done that by being aware all of the time and moving to where the ball was going to be not where it was at. He avoided a lot of scrapes on instinct because he was hyper-aware.
He was twenty-three and at a park party that had come about due to a rugby tournament that had been played there throughout the day. There had to be a hundred people there at least. It was loud, someone had turned on a good car stereo system and it was blaring out rap music to the crowd.
Danny liked watching rugby. He enjoyed seeing big men try to hurt each other. Danny happened to spot Kitten sitting on the grass and crying. For some reason that interested him so he dropped down and grabbed some grass beside her.
She made to move away and Danny shushed her without touching telling her he was only there to protect her. To keep her safe. He was full of shit but they were words she seemed to like, what the hell. She was kinda cute from what he could see. He just wandering and he thought he might see what he could turn this into.
The Kitten purred. No that was later. Kitten said something about too much negativity around and it was killing her. She had her arms and hands wrapped around her midsection like she was trying hard to hold herself together.
“Ya, there’s a shitload of angry testosterone in the air tonight,” he agreed with her because he also sensed it. It felt like the place could erupt at any time. He wanted to be on the sidelines when it did.
Right then a feeling of angst hit him hard with the thought of ‘move’ pushing him to move from within. Without a thought, he reaches over and yanks on her arm as hard he can dragging her out of her Indian squat and right over the top of him as he is rolling over on top of her, a car came screaming through right where they had been sitting.
People were screaming, flailing about seeking help to turn back the clock. Danny needed to get to the sidelines now. Kitten needed to get out of the crowd now. They made a small person’s wiggly beeline for the edge of the crowd and off to the side.
He figured the cops would be here soon and block everyone in until they recorded what everyone saw. He didn’t want to get into that mess so he kept moving and entered the treed area of the park.
He was walking a wide trail and it was shady under the trees, maybe half the luminance difference between forest and park. Danny heard a crunch behind him. It was the kitten, or whatever the hell her name was. The one he accidentally saved. He hadn’t had time yet to wonder why, it crossed his mind then and he didn’t have a quick answer.
“What do want?” Danny snapped at her. She kept coming and stopped four feet in front of him and looked up with big sad brown eyes. Old eyes he thought. She’s an old soul, crossed his mind. She was smaller than him at five foot one. “To be safe, to feel safe. To not be around people.” He lifted a hand to stop her, “Got it.” She added, “You saved me, you’re cruel but you will keep me safe.”
He snarled at her, a dog’s snarl with lips thinned and pulled back. He wanted to scare her. “Now why would you think you will be safe with me.” He was surprised but it came to him he didn’t want to hurt her. Yea, she was a girl but she was even smaller than him. He could imagine what her life had been like.
Still looking into each other’s eyes she answered “Because I will do anything you tell me to.” She left it at that and for his imagination.
He had already played with four other cunts. What’s wrong with a fifth? “Don’t fuck with me, you won’t like what happens.” She bowed her body, a three-quarter bow never losing sight of his eyes she replied, “Yes Master.”
That’s how Danny became a Master and about a month after they met Kitten started to manage his home and always ensured his other slaves behaved. She was his trophy, his greatest possession. If he could have loved, he would have loved her. The love had been beaten out of him long, long ago.
The penguins, he hated penguins. He hated female penguins. The penguins started to disguise themselves by wearing normal women’s clothing. Danny came to just hate females altogether it was easier. He simply sought revenge now. Revenge on his terms in his own way.
Kitten was different, she was like him but not like him yet so in tune with him. She was special she wasn’t a hated woman she was a kitten. His little kitten.
Kitten could handle Danny’s highs and lows because she had a big brother, Gerald, until she was sixteen years old. He was just like Danny. Everyone called him psycho, he was evil. Her mother left when Gerald was ten because he kept trying to rape her and her husband didn’t care, he thought it was funny. She couldn’t take it one night and she was gone leaving Kitten to grow up with two psychos. Her Dad was almost as bad as her brother.
They were cruel to her. They took her virginity from her at twelve. They used her often and horribly. She learned a lot of things a little girl should never know. They hurt her and they moulded her and finally very jealously protected her. Her brother kept her father from making her do some of the sicker things he thought of.
If anyone talked to Kitten at school her brother would beat them badly. She was left alone. All of the time, it was a hard way to grow up yet for an overly sensitive empath it was also appreciated. She always knew she was safe from people if her brother was around. He would protect her and push the negative people away. All she had to do was whatever he said when he said it. It was how she was trained and what she knew.
Her brother was shot by a gang banger when she was sixteen her life at school became hell and her father would hardly leave her alone at home. He was watching the internet now and wanted to do all kinds of sick things, she hated him. She longed for her brother to protect her.
Danny’s life was actually quite easy now. He had a degree in computer science and was an above-average coder, he could create, but many couldn’t. He received a settlement from the catholic church under a class action taken up for the children that survived hell.
It became known as St Andrews Hell for Boys in the press and they didn’t know the half of it.
Danny received a million dollars for every year in hell. His settlement share was twelve million of which the government and lawyers took half. Still, six million provided for a good life and left wanting for little.
