Up two hours early, Tom stumbled toward the bathroom. Elaine was just stepping out of the shower. Tom stood groggily at the door looking through the clouds of steam. “You gonna shower?” Elaine asked. “Eileen’s plane lands in twenty minutes. She’ll be here in an hour.”
