Chapter 1

The demon incubus looked around at where he ended up as the fog slowly cleared around him. He loved this time of year, the human’s called it halloween, though to him it was when the vale was the weakest and he could just shift from place to place where the magicks took him. Hoping to find someone that would make a deal with him. So that is what he was doing, he sat upon a giant pumpkin that was surprisingly comfortable to sit upon, this magicks flowing from the flames inside Jack-o-lanterns on the ground below him. His lantern in his hand casting an unnatural red glow on the area around him. He had just landed in what looked like a human backyard, he could feel the pull of someone from inside the house but before he could move from his spot the back door opened and a human appeared in the doorway. He watched as they came out, looking right at him as the fog of summoning cleared away. His eyes went wide as he realized this was not a human but a Fae changeling that had been left in the human world. His grin grew as he watched them.

The little Fae stood in the doorway breathless looking at everything in their backyard, their eyes locking onto the Incubus’s form as soon as the fog cleared enough to see him in the lantern light. Taking in every ripple of muscle, curve of their body and tantalizing feature, as their brain locked up unsure of what they were seeing. Slowly they reached out sure that this was just a horny dream and not a real demon man in their backyard unable to process what their senses were telling them. Reaching out, the Fae touched his chest fingertips running down the purple vest, inhaling deeply as they mumbled to themselves about this being a dream. That was all it took for the Incubus’s powers to take hold of their mind. The air seemingly grew more dense and the fragrance intoxicating, bringing the Fae to a lust filled mind buzz as their legs went weak under them and they had to reach out to the Incubus for balance, their hand landing on his upper thigh.

“Well Hello there little one. Aren’t you a forward little Fae?” WIth the hand he was using to prop himself up on the giant pumpkin, he wrapped his arm around them pulling them close as a grin grew across his face. The fires inside the Jack-o-lanterns on the ground around him flare up, their smoke pouring out of the eyes and spinning around the pumpkin patch and the two of them. “Are you going to make a deal for my bone? Or should I just turn this little Fae queen I seem to have captured into a pumpkin spice cream pie?” With a wave of the lantern a large spike hook appears next to his pumpkin, and he hangs up the lantern, its unnatural glow casting an evil red accent across his face. His eyes flashing in their deep blue as he realizes his captured Fae changeling doesn’t know that they are Fae, and that they are his plaything.

He watched as the Fae’s heart began to race as he spoke, their face flushed and they squirmed in his grasp. They swallowed hard as he watched their heart beat in the veins of their neck, knowing they could probably not think over the sound of their own heartbeat hammering away in their ears. The instinctual concern and flight instinct that hit them for only a moment before they were drawn to look into his eyes. The tremble in their lip as they gasped and covered their mouth with their hand fighting the hunger for him that he knew was overwhelming them. The magickal heat that was building in and around them both. Grinning to himself as they managed to master themselves enough to ask in a whisper, “What kind of a deal?”
