Chapter 1

Nicol woke up and decided to go for a run in the woods. While she was running she thought to herself - it is so beautiful to see the sun rising in early autumn. A hot wind was blowing and throwing red leaves all around her. The atmosphere was beautiful and almost magical. I have to be ready for my karate tournament. It is in just two weeks. When she was over running she started to stretch her legs while thinking - Well my legs really are significantly longer than average. Especially for a girl. In some aspects of my life, it would be easier for me if I was shorter. But if I train my legs properly, they can become great weapons. I can beat people easily while keeping them at a distance with my feet.

Her train of thought was interrupted when she got a new message on her smartphone. It was her client Mia asking her to train at 3 o’clock near the lake in the nearby park. Nicol also taught her clients karate for money, when she had the time. At 3 PM Nicole and Mia met near the lake. I really don’t know anything about this girl. All I know is that for some reason she came to live in my country. She moved from Sicily. But I will not ask her too many questions on our first day. Nicol started the training with squats. After that Nicol and Mia started doing diagonal squats and other similar exercises in order to warm up. Nicol noticed that there were no people she could see near the lake. Two girls were alone. As Nicol was starting to demonstrate how to do karate Front kick (Mae Geri) she saw a weird guy appear in the distance. Is this just some creep that wanted to look at us while we exercise? That was her first thought. Then she saw Mia was behaving a bit strange. “Do you know this guy?” Nicol asked.

Mia said: “That is my crazy ex boyfriend. He does not seem to have stayed in Sicily.”

The guy approached Mia while saying: “I finally found you. Let’s go back to my place.”

Mia replied quickly: “I’m not coming back. I’ll stay here.”

Mia’s ex continued approaching her. But now Nicol stood in his way. He realized he is much shorter than her. Nicol spoke to him while looking at him like she was in complete control of the situation: “Just go home and I will not have to smack your face with my foot.”

The guy laughed and said, “Just stay out of this.” When he was about to make another step Nicol smacked him in the head with a front kick. Mia’s ex fell to the ground from the force of the kick he received. He was swearing while he spat blood and teeth from his mouth: “Now I will kill you bitch.”

When he got up he was angry. His face was red from anger and the mark that Nicol’s shoe left on his face. When he tried to approach her Nicol just used her long legs to keep him at bay. He could not even come close enough to touch the female karate champion.
