Ella: “I need one of those toilets. You go get in the hot water and I will join you in a moment.”
“OK.”
Getting in, he found the hot spring was lined with cement with seating and stone coping, essentially a small swimming pool.
While she was busy, Jonah arrived and said (audibly), “Mind if I join you?” Andrew gestured toward the water, and silently told him, “Be my guest.”
“Ella has taught you, excellent!”
Ella had returned: “So you boys are communicating. This shows how we all can hear each other. Silent ‘speaking’ has come quick and easy for you, Andrew.”
Andrew immersed himself and stretched out, luxuriating. The hot spring fed one end of the pool with extra-hot water. Bathers adjusted their temperature by moving farther or closer to that supply.
Ella found the underwater bench and sat next to Andrew. “This was all modernized when the Dureaux siblings arrived. Before that, it was all muddy.”
