Thank you for the end of the long school holidays. I know it’s enjoyable watching the families and kids playing on the beach and the parks. It does not allow older single widows like me to enjoy myself in the cinema. I am Tom, an early retiree and widow. I replied “Yes. My kids have their families and my wife passed on a few years ago with the big C. I am over it now.”

Meg smiled “Wow. My kids, like yours, have their own families. My husband decided his sweet DDD chested secretary was better than me so he left. Silly man for tax reasons did put most things in my name and the kids. He got nothing in the divorce. My kids and I now want nothing to do with him, that was 7 years ago.”

I smiled at her “Good on ya.”

The movie started and it came with a boom. Meg jumped and grabbed my leg. I quietly said “Any higher and you would have crushed my crown jewels”

Meg replied “Sorry, it frightens me” as she moved her hand higher to my crown jewels “maybe I will have to inspect these after the movie to ensure I did not damage them.”
