It was Monday morning and Marty had taken Doc to Hill Valley High School, to show him his parents and start Doc’s idea of getting his mother and father together. When they got there, the High School had already started, so they looked around the place, if seen, they were going to say they were only looking around to see if it was a school for Marty to go to in case he decided to stay in town. As Marty entered the school ground, he was amazed by how new the school looked. He couldn’t believe that the school would look so bad over the next thirty years.

“Now, remember Marty, according to my theory, you interfered with your parent’s first meeting.” Doc started to explain his thoughts, “This means that, if they don’t meet, they won’t fall in love, they won’t get married and they won’t have kids. That’s why your older brother’s head is disappearing from that photograph of yours. Your sister will follow, and unless you repair the damage that you caused, you’ll be next.”

“I know Doc, I know, I fucked up and I need to fix it.” Marty admitted with a sigh, “Damn, this is really fucked up. This is some heavy for me to deal with.”

“Weight has nothing to do with this.” Doc told Marty as they entered the school. At the time, the students were still in class, as they looked around Marty found his mother in her class.

“Hey, Doc, doctor, here she is, right there in the second row.” Marty informed Doc Brown.

“Oh yeah, I see here.” said Brown, “I can see the resemblance. I also can see why you fucked her, she is good-looking.”

“Oh shit, she is cheating.” Marty said in shock, he couldn’t believe this, this was another thing that broke his image of his mother. Seeing how she told him and his siblings off for doing so, when they got caught, saying that she never cheated,

“So?” asked Doc with a shrug of his shoulders, not seeing a problem.

“But she’s, my mother.” Marty said simply, where doc just tapped his shoulder.

It wasn’t long after this when the bell rang for the next class. As Doc and Marty hid from Lorraine, well, mainly Marty, they heard Lorraine telling her friends, “Well, I got an F anyway.”

“So, which one is your pops?” asked Doc.

“That’s him.” Marty said with a disappointing sigh as he saw bullies pick on him, seeing how he had a kick me not on his back.

“Maybe you were adopted.” Doc tried to reassure Marty about this. Wondering how Marty was the future son of this boy. Marty was confident and strong, but his father was weak and a pushover.

“Maybe, I have wondered about that at times, seeing how he and I are nothing alike.” admitted Marty, as not for the first time wondering if he was indeed adopted.

“That’s Strickland.” said Marty, as he saw his principal talking to his future father, calling George a slacker and asking him if he always wanted to be a slacker. “Jesus, didn’t that guy ever have hair?”

“What did your mother ever see in that kid?” asked Doc as he watch things play out.

“Honestly? I don’t know.” admitted Marty, “I’ve been trying to figure that out for years. The only thing I can think of is that I guess she felt sorry for him ‘cause her dad to hit him with the car. Hit me with the car.” Marty corrected himself, and something click in him.

“That’s the Florence Nightingale effect.” said Doc, as he too realized what happened. “It often happens in hospitals, when nurses fall in love with their patients.” Then pushing Marty forward, he said, “Go for it kid, get those two kids together.”

Marty sighed at this as he walked toward his future father. This was something Marty didn’t want to happen, as he wanted his mother to have a better future. But for him to stay alive, he needed to do this.

“Hey, George, buddy. I’ve been looking all over for you.” said Marty as he helped his future father to pick the things that he dropped, “You remember me? The guy who saved your life the other day?”

“Yeah.” said George.

“Good.” said Marty, before he went on to say, “There’s somebody I’d like you to meet.”

They then walked toward Lorraine and her friends, as they got near, Marty called out, “Lorraine?”

“Calvin!” Lorraine called out in shock, stepping back into the lockers, in seeing her lover at school, she didn’t think she would see him again when he didn’t return last night.

“Lorraine, I would like to introduce you to my good friend George.” Marty introduced his feature father to his future mum.

“Hi. It’s really a pleasure to meet you.” said George, trying to introduce himself,

The problem was that Lorraine had no interest in George, she was all lovey-dovey for Marty.

“How’s your head?” Lorraine asked as she tried to caress Marty’s head, but Marty didn’t want anything to do with it. Well, he did, but he was trying to get his father and father together, so he had to act cold towards her, not that she cared. Neither of them realized that George had walked away to his next class. “I’ve been so worried about you since the other day when you didn’t return to my house. Are you doing alright?”

“Yeah, I’m doing fine.” said Marty, not too sure what else to say.

Before anything could be said, the bell rang for the next class. And so, Lorraine said, “Sorry, I have to go.” With that, she was pulled away by her friends who told her that they had to go, seeing how Lorraine didn’t want to leave Marty. “Isn’t he a dreamboat?” Lorraine asked her friends as she passed Doc, who was dumbfounded by her reaction.

As Marty looked around and saw everyone was gone, he sighed as Doc came next to him and said, “Doc, she didn’t even look at George.”

“This is more serious than I thought.” Doc said worriedly, “Thanks to your actions, your mother is amorously infatuated with you, instead of your father.”

“So, simply, you’re saying that my mother has the hots for me?” Marty asked Doc, wanting to make sure Doc was saying what he was. Not that Marty minded too much, if it wasn’t for wanting to stay alive and not get erased from the timeline, he might have made a move on his mother himself and given her a happy life.

“Precisely.” said Doc.

“That’s heavy.” said Marty.

“There’s that word again. ‘Heavy.’” Doc said confused, not understanding why Marty would keep using that word. “Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth’s gravitational pull?

“What?” asked Marty, not understanding what Doc was getting at.

“The only way we’re going to get those two to successfully mate is if they’re alone together, so you’ve got to get your father and mother to interact in some sort of stoical...” Doc began to explain what needs to be done, but he wasn’t able to find the right word for what he was looking for.

“What? Do you mean like a date?” asked Marty.

“Right.” admitted Doc.

“What kind of date? I don’t know.” admitted Marty, before asking in confusion, “What do kids do in the 50s?”

“They’re your parents. You must know them.” Doc told Marty, “What are their common interests? What do they like doing together?”

“Unfortunately, nothing.” admitted Marty with a sigh, “In my timeline, they were in a one-sided marriage, only my mother tried to keep it together out of love for my father. But dad didn’t see it and so, things won’t that good.” Marty really was having a hard time agreeing to all this, he had seen how his mother was and he wanted her to have a better life. But, for his and his family’s sake, he had to get his mother and father together.

“Look!” Doc called out as he noticed the poster for the school dance this weekend. “There’s a rhythmic ceremonial ritual coming up”

“Of course! The Enchantment Under the Sea Dance!” Marty called out in excitement, “They’re supposed to go to this. My mother told me that was where they had their first kiss together.”

“Alright, kid. You have to stick to your father like glue and make sure he takes her to that dance.” Doc told the teen.

“Okay, Doc, I’ll try.” the teen replied, unsure if this idea would work or not, “It might be hard than you think, but I’ll give it a try.”

“Do you have any better ideas?” asked Doc.

“Nope, just a bad one.” acknowledged Marty.

“In that case, work on your father.” Doc told the future boy. And with that, the two parted ways for the day. As Marty walked down the hall, he shook his head, wondering how he was going to pull this off. Seeing how he already made his mother fall for him and seeing how she was with him; he wasn’t sure it was going to be easy to do.

It was lunchtime when Marty was able to meet up with his future father again. For most of the day, he was wandering the hallway, looking at the school as it was. He was able to do this thanks to Doc, who told the principal that his nephew was thinking about moving into town and thinking about going to this school. But before that, his nephew wanted to walk around the school, to make sure it was the right place for him. To Marty’s surprise, Strickland agreed to this, as long as he didn’t bother anyone in the school.

“Hey, George, buddy.” Marty said trying to get George’s attention, who was writing something.

“Uh ... do I know you?” George asked looking up from his paperwork. “I don’t think I do. But yet you keep popping up as if you know me.”

“No, just got into town a few days ago and when I first saw you in the cafe, I thought you were someone I want to know.” lied Marty.

“Are you here to make fun of me?” asked George, unsure about Marty.

“No, no, I’m not here to do that, instead, I want to help you.” Marty told his future father, “Remember that girl I tried to introduce you to, Lorraine. I saw you pipping on her the other day before I save you from the car hitting you, and I thought I would help you get a date with Lorraine Baines to the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance.”

“Haha. So, you ARE making fun of me. You know that’s not possible. Girls like Lorraine don’t go out with boys like me.” George informed Marty in a matter-of-fact way, before returning to his writing.

Seeing it wasn’t going to do him any good to push this, Marty decided to take another route, and so asked, “What are you writing?” Marty was interested in this, seeing how his father never wrote anything in the future and so was wondering if this was homework or something else.

“Uh ... stories.” explained George, “Science fiction stories about visitors coming down to Earth from other planets.”

“Get out of town!” Marty said in shock, not knowing this about his father, this made his father more interesting. People in his time loved a good sci-fi story, so he wondered what happened to stop his father from doing that in the future. “I didn’t know you did anything creative. Let me have a look.”

Here, Marty tried to take a few pages of George’s work, to see if it was any good.

“Oh. No, no, no, no.” George told his future son, as he pulled the paperwork back from Marty. “I never let anybody read my stories.”

“Why not?” asked Marty.

“Well, what if they didn’t like them? What if they told him I was no good?” George asked the teen, “But, I guess that would be pretty hard for somebody to understand.”

“Oh, not at all.” Marty admitted with a deep sigh, that he felt the same way about his music, in fact, he had already gone through what it felt like when people told him that they didn’t like his music when he tried out for the auditions for the school battle of the bands. It made him feel as if he wasn’t good enough for music.

“So, anyway, George. About Lorraine.” said Marty, trying to get things back on track, “Whilst you might not believe me, I am here to help you get together with her and take her to the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance. All you have to do is go up to here and ask her out, if she says no, I’ll smooth things out with her so it can happen.”

“But what if she wants to out with someone else?” asked George.

“Like who?” asked Marty.

“Well, you for starters, I saw how she acted towards you earlier.” admitted George, as he went back to his writing.

“I’ll admit she has a huge crush on me, but I have no real plans in staying in this town.” admitted Marty, “And, whilst I like her and would like to be with her, I can’t. So, I would like someone I trust to be with her in my stand, to love her and take care of her.” Okay, he didn’t fully trust George to love and care for Lorraine fully, seeing how the future holds, but still, they seemed to love each other at some point, before things went south, so, Marty had some hope there.

“Maybe, but still, if not you, I think she would go with someone else.” admitted George.

“Like whom?” Marty asked again.

“Biff!” stated George as he pointed towards Lorraine.

As Marty looked around, he saw Biff touching his future mum in a way she didn’t want, she tried to leave, by saying as she tried to stand up, “I’m gonna leave.”

But Biff wouldn’t allow this, “You want it. You know you want it. You know you want me to give it to you.”

“Shut your filthy mouth.” Lorraine told Biff, as she slapped him, “I’m not that kind of girl.”

’Well, that wasn’t true.’ Marty thought to himself, as he remembered how she acted with him. Then again, Lorraine didn’t like how Biff treated people and so wanted nothing to do with him. If he treated people different, things might be different. Thankfully, Marty didn’t see that ever happening.

“Maybe you are, but you just don’t know it yet.” Biff told her as he grabbed hold of her harder.

“Get your meat hooks off of me.” Lorraine told him as she tried to get free, but Biff didn’t.

This was enough for Marty, he didn’t like how Biff was treating Lorraine, or as his mind was thinking right then, what was his, and his alone. So, he went up to him and pulled Biff off his future mother by the collar of Biff’s shirt, and said, “You heard her, get your meat hooks off of ... her. Please.” But now that Biff was standing in front of him, Marty realized the mistake he made. Biff was at least a good foot taller than he was.

As he tried to tidy Biff’s collar, up, Biff asked, “So, what’s it to you, butthead? You know, you have been looking for a fight for a while now.”

Here Biff pushed Marty back, and Marty pushed Biff in return, and in doing so, both raised their fists to punch each other. But as this happened though, Marty saw a faint blue glow around him, and time stopped around him. There, he saw things play out, Biff punching him and Strickland telling him off after Biff told Strickland that he (Marty) was the one that started the fight, and he was defending himself. After that, time stood still and only Marty was able to move.

Marty had no idea what was going on, but before he could think about what was going on, time slowly returned to normal. But before time went back to normal, he moved slightly so that when time was back to normal, Biff would miss him and so wouldn’t get hit.

When time was back to normal, it was like Marty was able to get free before Biff could throw a punch.

“What’s going on here?” asked Strickland a few seconds after time was back to normal.

“Ah, Mr. Strickland, Biff Tannen here tried to attack me after I tried to defend Lorraine Baines after he tried to assault her and said that he wanted to fuck her. “ Marty explained to the principal before Biff could say anything.

“Is this true Miss. Baines?” asked the principal.

“It is Principal Strickland.” admitted Lorraine, as well as her friends and a few others who were shocked to see someone stand up to Biff Tannen.

“I see, in that case, Mr. Tannen, Miss. Baines, please come with me, we need to talk about this.” Principal Strickland told them, wanting to settle this problem.

“What about him?” asked Biff as he pointed at Marty, if looks could kill, Marty would be dead ten times over.

“What about Mr. Klein?” asked the principal, “He is a guest here and here, not only that, but he hasn’t done anything wrong here, unlike you Mr. Tannen, which isn’t the first time. So he is free to go.” And with that, Strickland led his two students away. But, as he walked away, he turned to Biff’s friends and said, “Listen you three, if you harass the students to keep them quiet, I’ll suspend you from school.”

With the three of them gone, the remaining students whispered about what happened. As for Marty, he looked around to look for George, but he had already left the canteen. “Damn it, he’s gone again.”

Marty sighed, he just wished he could talk with George and get him to agree to ask Lorraine on a date. That way, he hoped he could get his mother to go out with George. He was thinking of an idea of how to do this, but it was a dangerous plan, as it could alter the future more than it already had. But he couldn’t think of another way with how infatuated she was with him. He knew that this was an idea that Doc wouldn’t like, but he had to deal with it and hope for the best.

Lou’s Cafe After School:

For the rest of the day, Marty tried to get to see his father when he could, but something always tried to get in his way, bell ringing and so people get in the way and so George slaps away, or Lorraine tries to get to him and so George makes a run for it and so he too would need to make a run from Lorraine. All in all, not a good day. In the end, Marty was able to follow George to Lou’s Cafe where he found his future father in a booth reading a science fiction magazine.

Seeing George like this, Marty had to admit that it was hard to think of this boy as his future father, even though he had the same dark-rimmed glasses and a goofy look on his face. Whatever the case, he still had a job to do, getting his parents together. With a sigh, Marty entered the booth and sit across from George.

“Hi George,” Marty said trying to get his attention, “I have to say, it has been a bother trying to get to talk to you.”

“You again, what do you want?” asked George, he had to wonder what the deal was with this Klein person. First, he pushed him away from a moving day not long ago, then he came to his school today to try to get him and Lorraine Baines together. Not only that, but he stuck up to Biff Tannen where he informed Principal Strickland about what he did, where the principal gave Biff a detention for today and a week’s suspension from school and told Biff that he couldn’t go to this year’s dance. Not only that but if Biff got into any other trouble, be it in school or out, he would get expelled from Hill Valley High School.

With all this, Klein was the last person he wanted to be around with, seeing how Biff was and how he treated him in the past, it was best to stay away from Klein as much as possible. But the problem is that Klein wouldn’t leave him alone, wherever he was Klein was not far behind and he had no idea why.

“I told you at lunchtime, I want to get you and Lorraine Baines together.” explained Marty.

“But why, what’s so important that we have to be together?” asked George, having no idea why this person was so insistent about this.

“As I told you earlier, I have no real plans on staying here in town for long.” Marty informed his young father, “I would like to, but I have prior engagements that I must keep, finishing my coast guard training, doing my time there and who knows what when I return to my parents. So, I have no idea if or when I’ll return to town or if I find someone else during my time away. So, caring about Lorraine, I want someone to look after her and that person is you.”

“But why me? I’m a nobody, a nothing, so why would you want me to be with her?” asked George, really wanting to know why this person was so insistent about him dating Lorraine.

“I won’t lie, it’s true that you’re a nobody,” admitted Marty, not wanting to lie to George too much, “but I have this skill to sometimes see if someone is right for each other or not or if they are going to be together for a long time. And right now, I’m getting this feeling that you and Lorraine are right for each other and that you’ll be together for years and have children if you allow it. And I would prefer her to be with someone like you than someone like Biff.”
