Island Day 25-26
Maxwell Lester POV:
I HAD been chomping at the bit to tryout my new sail, so, when Chen suggested taking our new friend, Captain Brunkman, for a spin, I was overjoyed!
We had a strong breeze coming directly in from the east. I knew we’d have to tack just to go anywhere, so, I was hoping our new sail would be up to the task.
We’d found a nice tall pine that was good and straight. It cleaned up nicely with our new power-lathe, making it look like we bought it from a store back home. It was bigger than our mounting holes, so Blaine and I decided to use a hole drill to make the hole in the seat big enough to hold our new 5” diameter ‘mast’. We used our other woodworking tools to whittle down the bottom two inches to fit snuggly into the 3” diameter boot on the floor.
The girls even used their sewing machine to make our sail another five feet taller.
Even Lonnie helped.
Chen still doesn’t trust Lonnie, but, that man pumped those sewing machine pedals for over three hours and never once complained! He also assisted Blaine, Mario and me in attaching the new boom, made from a thicker bamboo shaft, to the mast. We used four pieces of our angle-iron and cut two more to help secure the mast to the seat and bottom of the boat. We also built a better, bigger tiller to steer with.
Captain Brunkman asked many questions about our sail, especially where we got the ‘angle-iron’ and ‘pulleys’ from. I asked Chen, ‘mentally’ how much to tell him and he said I could tell him everything, but, to wait till we got out on the water so our ‘Gromorik’ guests wouldn’t hear.
As we put our boat out to sea, I explained we needed to paddle out some ways so the wind wouldn’t just shove us back into the shore. The Captain eagerly ‘volunteered’ his boys to do the rowing. They were strong rowers and worked in perfect unison. I was a bit surprised that they even understood what ‘port’ and ‘starboard’ meant.
We started by heading southeast, away from the huge boat they’d come here on, with the sails still rolled up. Once we were about 150 yards off shore, Blaine and I lowered the boom and began raising the sail. The wind grabbed us and I fought the tiller till I got the hang of the tack we were on. The Captain was amazed we were able to go as fast as we were with the wind blowing in from the port side. I explained about ‘tacking’ and he seemed very curious about the ‘physics’ of what was happening.
He was grinning, “I can feel us being pushed sideways, perhaps it would help if you had a bigger keel?”
I just smiled, “Yes, I’ve given that much thought, but, I would need a way of sealing the hole I’d have to cut in the hull since I would need the keel to be removable. I also wanted to add some modifications to the hull so we could better harness the wind’s effects when we want to go into the wind.”
He nodded, “I could help you with sealing the hull. We use this tar mixed with the sap of different trees that would seal it nicely. Would you consider helping me if I were to try to fit my ships with sails?” He chuckled, “That is if this works?”
I felt us picking up speed and grinned back, “You mean like this!?”
His eyes grew large and his smile grew even wider. When we needed to tack back to the northeast I warned everyone to ‘duck’ so the boom could switch sides. The ‘newbies’ didn’t really understand until they saw what happened. We successfully made the turn and were now headed northeast, just east of their big boat, anchored 400 yards offshore. I wanted to make a loop around their boat then head back to shore.
Since it was getting pretty dark I didn’t feel it was a good idea to go very far, but, as we approached within a couple hundred yards of our friends’ boat we saw a crowd on the deck. When they saw their Captain and their shipmates waving, a loud cheer went up!
When I turned hard to port, with the wind now at our backs, my little boat flat commenced to hauling ass! The Captain hollered like a kid on his first rollercoaster ride. The crew on his boat also howled, seeing our sudden burst of speed.
Seeing our beach rapidly approaching, the Captain begged, “Can we go around one more time? PLEASE?”
I just grinned, “WHY THE HELL NOT!??? Hang on!”
I warned everyone the boom was going to swing when we turned back to the southeast. That was met with smiling nods as they were getting the hang of what we were doing.
This time the boat really heeled over and we all had to move to the high side just to keep from tipping over. I saw some surprised looks then the Captain chuckled, “I guess this wouldn’t work so good on my big ship?”
I smirked, “No and you’d never be able to turn as quickly as we just did, either!”
I enjoyed seeing the Captain’s exuberance, even as we slowed down, now tacking with the wind at our side. He seemed a bit subdued when he asked, “So, about the only direction we can’t go is from here to here?” He was pointing the 90⁰ into the wind.
I nodded, “That’s it. And, if we were to retrofit your ship with sails, you’d be limited to going with the wind at least mostly at your back. Like this.” I said, pointing the 150⁰ towards our beach.
“Retrofit?” He asked, obviously not understanding the term.
“Where I come from, that means adding a sail to your boat, after it’s been built.”
“Oh, when I asked about helping me with a sail, I knew we couldn’t add one to my boat. Our mast wouldn’t work at all, since it’s only mounted to the deck. I can see, after looking at this sail, it would never withstand the force of pushing the weight of my ship. It was just put there to get my lookout post high enough to be useful. I was thinking about maybe getting your help to design a new ship?”
I smiled, patting him on the back, “Now THAT, we could certainly do. Captain, there are many things we could do in that regard. I could tell you stories of the ships in my world that would make your head spin. Like ships that didn’t need either rowers OR the wind! They use motors that burn fuel like coal, diesel fuel or gasoline. I KNOW you don’t understand, but, I would love to sit down with you and tell you of such things.”
“Your world? Are you not from here?”
I shook my head, “No. My friends and I are from a planet called Earth. We were sent here ... by accident, I guess you’d say. We’re stuck here for the rest of our lives. We can receive things from our world, once in a while, but, we need to figure out ways to adapt to our new world. YOUR world. That’s why I ... WE would be willing to help you, since we also need to figure out how to make the things we need using your technology. That’s where we will need your help! We know what is possible, but, you know who and what we may need to know to do things.”
The Captain smiled, slowly letting what I just told him sink in.
Blaine added, “We DO have some special ‘tools’ that could help your people progress much faster than you could on your own. Your friend, the Science Director, doesn’t want us to do that, though. They don’t feel your people should benefit from their knowledge of advanced ways of doing things. We call that, technology. WE, however, don’t feel obliged to follow in their ways of doing things. We believe in helping our friends as much as we can.”
The Captain nodded, grinning, “And you want us to be your friends?”
I patted him on the back, “Yes! Especially since we have convinced the Science Director’s people to leave your planet and move on to another planet, far, far away from here!”
He looked confused, “You mean, you convinced the gods to leave!? How did you do that?”
“First, they are NOT gods! They are aliens from a planet called Gromerly who just happen to have very advanced technology. They came here with just one purpose; to mine crystals they need for their spaceships. They forced your people to do all the work so they wouldn’t have to. WE didn’t think that was fair and forced them to leave! They will possibly all be gone by the time you get back to Port Loma.”
He was stunned. “And, and, you want us to be your friends?”
I nodded, “That’s it. I know that’s a lot to take in right now, but, it’s true. We want to make the Science Director, Tumrik, our friend too. What do you think about him?”
“He is not like the others of his kind. He seems to treat my people much less harshly than the others. You have just made things much clearer for me, Mr Max. Many things I have often wondered about make sense to me now. But, that raises another question ... how in the world did you do that?”
I grinned even wider, “Have you ever heard of ... wizards?”
He gasped, “Do you mean... you are a wizard?”
“Shhh! Let’s keep that our little secret for now, okay?”
He was open-mouthed as a perceptive smile slowly came over his face.
He nodded his agreement as I continued holding my finger across my lips, “let’s finish our ride then we can sit somewhere and I’ll show you some REAL magic!”
We made another ‘lap’ then, after hearing another round of cheers from the Captain’s crew, skedaddled back to shore.
Chen POV:
Tumrik was just saying how Gromoriks weren’t capable of using psychic abilities, even telepathy. From being in their heads, both Maggie and I were surprised that, for as big as their heads were, their brains didn’t seem like they took up all of the room in their cranium. Before saying anything, I mentally asked George, JB and Darren what they thought about my wanting to give Tumrik and Leena telepathy.
That is ... if I could?
Darren said that even Ibera gave her tacit approval, hoping to possibly cultivate a better relationship with the Gromoriks. She just wanted to make sure I put them both under a ‘confidentiality’ spell before I said too much.
I chuckled then told them I’d already done that and that I was planning on giving them the more powerful ‘confidentiality agreement’ before I attempted to give them telepathy.
With that being handled, I looked at Tumrik, “So, in the interest of not wanting to hurt you, why does it seem your brain only takes up about 50% of the area in your heads?”
Tumrik looked at Leena nervously, then cleared his throat, “Well, it’s because ... our heads are also where our reproductive organs are located. Our anatomy is much different than yours.”
Now it was our turn to gasp!
Then ... I remembered seeing those guards raping those girls and just had to ask, “But then, why did I see six guards putting their cocks, which were clearly located between their legs, into those native girls!?”
Tumrik huffed, “Because, that’s how we derive pleasure! Just because we don’t use our ‘urinating’ organs for reproduction, doesn’t mean we don’t use them for, as the natives say, ‘fucking’! I must assume YOUR reproduction process is similar if not the same as the natives? Well, just like you, when a Gromorik male inserts his ‘pleasure probe’ into a female’s ‘joy hole’ it fells VERY good! And, if it’s done long enough, the male shoots a substance, like your semen and a woman gets what you would call an orgasm!
“We often connect in that way when we reproduce, too, because it gives us so much pleasure. You see, reproducing, for us, is not overly pleasurable. It also doesn’t last more than a very short time. Oh, it doesn’t hurt at all, but, it’s just not what the natives call ‘fun’. Leena and I would show you, but, we don’t have permission to reproduce. And, if we were to connect, for even a short time, she would most likely become with child!”
He saw how we were all looking at him, dumbfounded, and tilted his head. Then, Leena licked just behind his ear and, DAMN, if a small, penis looking organ didn’t appear from just behind his ear! Tumrik then licked behind Leena’s ear and a small, ‘pussy-like’ slit opened up and appeared to be glistening with lubricant!
Tumrik was blushing a bright blue when he said, “This is a bit embarrassing. We never show another species how we reproduce, so, you must know now that we trust you.”
Jasmine was very interested and asked, “What would happen if I gently sucked that little penis?”
Leena giggled, “He would shoot a very vile-tasting substance into your mouth! It is nothing like the creamy substance coming from his pleasure probe. I know, because, I tried it once. I have sucked his pleasure probe, and that tastes a bit salty, but, not bad.”
I chuckled, “Please excuse our Jasmine. She has sucked every ‘penis’ on this island and I’m betting she really wants to see for herself?”
Tumrik blushed while chuckling, “Well, if you really want to, and you promise to be gentle, go ahead. This will be an absolute first for Gromoriks. I can guarantee NO other species or being has ever done that!”
Jasmine shocked poor Tumrik as she kissed him, passionately, while gently stroking his little penis with her fingers. Then she leaned over his shoulder, and within seconds, appeared to be tasting his ‘spend’. It only took a few seconds and Jasmine’s face got all screwed up like she bit into a very bitter lemon!
She shuddered for a few seconds then stuck her tongue out, “Eeew, Leena, you weren’t kidding! Holy shit! Yuck, I don’t think I’ll be doing that again anytime soon.”
Then, Tumrik kissed her again and Jasmine couldn’t believe it! Afterwards, she gasped, “Now THAT is one brave man! Mr Tumrik, you knew I still had some of that in my mouth, didn’t you!?”
He grinned, “You made that feel surprisingly pleasurable and I just wanted to thank you. Maybe sometime you’ll let me use my pleasure probe on you, to see how I may please you and ... to see how it fits?”
Jasmine shrieked, “You got it! Make that a date. My little pussy is just soaked right now thinking about it!”
That did it and liked to derail my whole plan to give them telepathy.
Leena growled a giggle, “And my dear Tumrik, are you going to pout if I can persuade one of these big boys to plow my tight, little, pleasure spot with their pleasure probes!?”
It looked like Tumrik was frowning, then grinned, “I won’t, as long as you tell me you still want ... to have offspring with me?”
Leena smiled and tapped affectionately on Tumrik’s cheek, “Oh my Love, you know I only have eyes for you in that regard!” She giggled, “But, when it comes to pleasure ... why don’t we share and enjoy it with our new friends!?”
Tumrik smiled and engaged Leena in a kiss, “I like your idea. Now, what do you think about our new friends’ crazy idea that WE can somehow learn psychic abilities?”
I saw Jasmine frown, feeling her sexual adventure was being put on hold.
I told her, mentally, “Fear not, my lovely, oversexed queen of sluts. Let’s do this, then we can indulge your carnal desires all you want?”
“Awww, you’re no fun sometimes, do you know that?” She giggled, “But, I’ll calm myself and be a good girl so you and Maggie can do your little experiment, okay?”
I smiled at her, “You know I’ll take care of you, partner. This is very important to ALL of our plans. I’m hoping that the Gromorik leaders will allow Tumrik and Leena to stay here ... with a spaceship! How else will we ever get back to Earth?”
“Are you going to tell the others about your little plan?”
I shook my head, “Not ALL of it. The spaceship’s importance must be kept just between us, okay? They’ll know about Tumrik having one, just, not what we plan to eventually use it for!”
Our little conversation only took a few seconds, but, Tumrik noticed us ‘spacing out’ and asked, “Are you alright Mr Chen?”
I nodded, “Yes, I was just conferring with my assistant about how we wanted to do this.”
Then Maggie frowned and threw me under the bus, “Ugh, ‘Mr Chen’ wasn’t conferring with ALL of us. Just what ARE we going to do, oh wise, devious one?”
I had to wonder how much of my conversation with Jasmine, Maggie had picked up? Judging on her level of pissed off, I assumed not much, so I acted nonchalant, “You take Tumrik and I’ll take Leena and we’ll give them telepathy simultaneously. That way, we can ‘guide’ them in their first attempt at talking to each other?”
She huffed, “But, I don’t have the ability to give telepathy!”
I groaned, “You’re ‘joined’ with me, so, can’t you just use my ability?”
She smirked, “I COULD if you let me into your mind and don’t shut me out! Like you just did!?”
I gave a crooked grin, “Oops! Sorry, I didn’t realize I’d shut you out.” Then I gave Tumrik and Leena a sheepish grin, “Sometimes I get confused with certain abilities some of us have. I’ll explain some more later, but, let’s try this, okay?”
Maggie smirked, “Aren’t you going to tell them about the ‘confidentiality agreement’ they have to agree to?”
Maggie was making her point about my shutting her out. She had now gotten me all bungled up, setting me back on my heels and making me look like an idiot!
I just couldn’t let it go, “I think I liked you better when you just looked like a witch!”
Maggie smirked, “I thought that terrified you!?”
I chuckled, “It DID, but, at least I knew what you were doing! What you’re doing now is far scarier!”
She winked at Tumrik, “Forgive our banter, Chen is like the bratty little brother I never had. I just love teasing him!”
Tumrik looked at Leena then chuckled, “I can see that! I have a big sister who used to drive me crazy. So, what is it you want us to agree to?”
I cleared my throat, “It’s like this. We are about to give you an ability that we need to be sure stays a secret. We ALL had to agree to it before we were given our powers, so, it’s not just for you. If you agree, then try telling anyone who is not here now, you will experience a debilitating pain in your stomach! Do you agree to accept that?”
He took a deep breath, “Sooo, we can’t tell any of our Gromorik associates ANYTHING about what we learn here?”
Both Maggie and I nodded.
Tumrik blinked, “Well, does that also mean YOU can’t tell my people, either?”
I chuckled, “Yes, of course. Why do you ask?”
He smiled, “Because, if you are successful, WE wouldn’t want any of our people ever finding out, either. They would never stop trying to find out how we were able to acquire and use telepathy. It would be terrible!”
I was glad he recognized the epic nature of what he and Leena were about to experience.
Maggie and I took Tumrik and Leena’s heads in our hands, looked into their eyes and pushed the power of telepathy to our new friends. We weren’t sure it worked until Tumrik’s eyes lit up when he ‘heard’ Leena flash, “Do you hear me, Tumrik?”
“YES! I do and I see a little picture of you in my head! Oh, oh, I’m seeing other faces too. Can all of you hear me?”
Sheila was the first to welcome both Tumrik and Leena to our little ‘Club’. Tumrik seemed overcome with emotion when Sheila embraced him in a psychic hug.
“I wish Leena and I did not have to depart so soon, beautiful lady! I have so many things I wish to talk with you about. You understand me and I feel many wonderful things when I think of you.”
“Why must you leave, Tumrik?” Sheila asked. “What if I told you we had a plan that MIGHT allow you to stay?”
Tumrik smiled and forgot we’d been talking telepathically. “ You ... DO?” He said out loud.
Leena also heard and smiled, “Now THAT’S something that sounds interesting! What IS this plan of yours, Miss Sheila?”
Leena looked at me and I nodded, “Perhaps we can offer your Commander another ‘BBD’?”
“A WHAT?” Leena giggled.
Monte, Maggie, Sheila and I all laughed, “It’s a ‘Bigger and Better Deal! That’s how we persuaded your Commander to leave this planet. We told him about another planet with more crystals than your people can mine with your machines in five Sun cycles!”
Tumrik gasped, “The Commander told me he sent my Geology Scientist, Rokspour, to some planet 1989 light-years from here. YOU are the ones who told him of it!?”
I grinned and nodded, “Yes. Our ... special friends told us of it, actually, so I have a high degree of confidence your man will find it as we said. During that conversation, we also promised him that should the Helgordes ever attack him we would come to his aid. My plan is, that, for us to do that, we’d need someone to stay behind with a communication device powerful enough to reach the planet they’re going to. I don’t think a Treyukravat can span that distance, am I right?”
