Sometimes I’m such an idiot. It turns out the cabin has cell phone service after all. And I never even thought to turn on my phone. I guess they put in a tower sometime in the last couple of years. I only turned it on to make sure it was charged because I was going to go to town to get milk. Baby needs milk, right? In truth I might have postponed the trip, but my journal was down to its last three pages, and the idea of running out kind of made me panic. So I thought worst case I could do my journal on my phone, and I turned it on and there were like seven thousand messages. Almost all of them were from Logan. I started at the end, I’m not sure why, and it turns out he knew I was at the cabin. He cut his extended concert tour short and came right home.
So I called him.
