Ben woke to soft kisses on his face and loving hands caressing his chest.

“Mei! Sorry I must have passed out. Are you okay? That was incredible!” Ben tried to say everything at once.

“Yes Ben, I am wonderful!” and she was. The short nap and dream had helped her to be more fully alive than she had ever been.

“Mei, I meant to say something before we got distracted,” Ben said in a serious tone as he sat up slightly to look into her eyes. “I cannot let you do this. I will not let you face this alone. You remember the women I was with in the coffee shop. I know them, they will not allow it either. We will not let anything happen to you.”

“You honor me,” said Mei with a radiant smile. “And I think that we will have some help now. Maybe there’s even some hope that I can have more than a few days with you.”

“You had a dream didn’t you?” Said Ben with a smile. He had so wanted this to happen!

“Yes I did! And look what I found when I opened my eyes!” Mei was so excited to show Ben she nearly giggled. Mei never giggled. “Look! Look!” she repeated as she sat up next to Ben and held out a gorgeous ring of silver and gold intertwined wire with a large shimmering moonstone set in the center ... Carved into the stone was a crescent moon holding a sun symbol.”

“DId your goddess explain what we are, and what we are trying to do?

“Yes oh yes Ben! She said that I might be allowed to be a part of you all! And I so want to!”

Mei, I feel sure that you are meant to be a part of us. Now try it on!”

Mei nodded yes, then kissed Ben and slipped on the ring. Mei’s experience was different than the other girls. Her ring gave off a soft silvery glow for a few seconds and then she disappeared!

Ben was stunned! “Mei!. Mei! Where are you? Talk to me!”

Ben stared and then he could just barely make out a few glints of Mei’s body.

“Mei this is amazing! Now please come back, you are scaring me a little.”

“I would never want to do that my love”

Ben could almost see a slight movement and the Mei slowly faded back into view.

“How did you reappear?”

“All I had to do was rub the ring again! My goddess said the ring could also make people forget temporarily. I’ll probably need help on figuring out how to do that. And Ben!”

“Yes love?”

“She said that she was going to make the horrible people I used to work for forget me for at least a moon cycle. I think that means a month. That means I get at least a few weeks with you!”

“No Mei, that means you get forever with me, with me and the girls. We are never going to give you up.” Ben said with a determined look.

“Ben, I love you. I have loved you since I first saw you in my dream days ago. I hope you and your women can forgive me for not recognizing that love until it was almost too late.”

“Mei there is nothing to forgive, everyone makes mistakes and what you were and are willing to do to make your mistake right is humbling. Not one person in thousands would do that. You are a rare and precious person. And you are fortunate in that the women with me are the same! They will come to love you, I’m sure of it.” He said firmly and then kissed her thoroughly.

“Okay. what do you say that we get some clothes on and find a way home?” Ben laughed, breathing a little hard after their kiss.

“Home? Home!” said Mei hopefully.

Friday evening

Port Jonesby Ferry Terminal

Mei couldn’t decide whether to be more terrified or more joyfully excited as Ben and her stood next to his old Cherokee watching as the odd colored station wagon sped through the light fog towards them and screeched to a halt. She clasped Ben’s hand tightly in hers afraid that if she let him go he would vanish along with her fragile dream of a new life

They had taken an hour to try and sow as much confusion as possible behind them. Mei submitted disinformation where possible in her after action reports, then they tried to make the clean facility look like Ben had escaped on his own and overpowered and disposed of Mei and the two Americans. Mei thought with a little more time she could access the secure cloud storage and complete the disinformation trail. The problem would always be though that people had already read the original reports and could possibly sniff out the subterfuge but it should allow them a few days to come up with a plan.

They had just been deciding what to do with the rental car when Ben thought he saw a familiar shape enter the parking lot from the highway and he waved.

“I think that’s the girls!” Ben yelled excitedly. “I had a feeling they would find us somehow!”

Mei wasn’t sure what to do with herself so she clung to Ben.

“It will be okay, Mei, just trust us.” said Ben.

“Yes Ben,” Mei said with a shy smile.

Fours doors on the little station wagon popped open and a full car load of excited femininity descended on them all at once shrieking and giggling asking 1000 questions simultaneously as they crossed the pavement toward Ben and Mei as a horde. Surprisingly, normally shy Lizzy reached him first and launched herself from about 4 feet away. She wrapped her slender legs around his waist and kissed him quickly but thoroughly before burying her head in his neck and squeezing with all her might.

“Ben! You cannot ever do this again! Promise me! I would die if anything would have happened to you!” Lizzy sobbed out.

Ben staggered back a little as Lizzy hit him. He had to drop Mei’s hand so he could cup Lizzy’s firm small backside to hold her up to him.

“Lizzy, my darling Princess. I will always try to return to you!”

“Did you call me your Princess! You remembered!” cried Lizzy as she gave him another kiss. She then dropped down off of Ben to make room for Kelly and Sarah as one took the left arm and the other took the right.

They didn’t say a word. Sarah first pulled him down into a soul searing kiss that lit his brain on fire. Kelly followed with its twin and a firm push of her curvy hips into his upper thigh. Mei in the meantime shyly slipped to the rear behind Ben so she wouldn’t interfere with the reunion.

Then Ben was a little stunned when Maria stepped up and gave him a kiss that was demure but full on the mouth and much more than a peck. This was an interesting development!

“So glad we found you Ben! Everyone was really scared that we had lost you!” Maria said quietly.

“Aye laddie we wuz afraid y’re goose wazz cooked, an here yah end up wit anoother bonnie lass in too!” Tom said as he strolled up in a dignified manner. Ben was having nothing to do with that though and picked up the huge scarred Tom and thoroughly buzzed him on both cheeks.
