Chapter 1

David Hall is a man of 49 that taken off for a week from work where he is a Senior Software Development Manager. His house is over 25 years old and thus needs a new roof which he was prepared to accomplish. David has always been a Jack of All Trades when it came to home repairs. As he was working on his house and falls off the ladder breaking both arms. As he is laying there on the ground, his next door neighbor hears his screams and comes over to investigate. The doctor informed David that he would require extra help at home and asked whom they could call to come in for him.

Being divorced for 10 years now, David had no one else to help him than his children. So he calls his son and daughter, both in college to ask for help. He wasn’t lucky that he broke his arms but was lucky that the current college semester was just ending.

Bill and Sue, the son and daughter attend college a Missouri University, MIZZO. Bill helped David get into his car and brought him home from the hospital while Sue went to the grocery store to stock up on food for the coming week.

Once the three of them were back in the house, they began talks about who would do what to begin caring for father. Son Bill will kick off the care giving as Sue must finish online finals for the current semester. Bill took his last test day of flight back home.

No sooner than they have finished their jobs discussion, David asked for helps using the toilet.
