The sun was already well on its way towards the tree-lined horizon by the time I strode into the cabin. With hair wrapped in towels, both younger women were sprawled on the couch. As Susan lifted her head from whatever they were giggling at on Desi’s phone, I flashed her a smile.
Even as she whispered into the redhead’s ear and her friend also tracked me, I headed for the steamy bathroom. Kept my focus on the empty shower, not due to shyness, but Mandy was moving around beyond the open door to the other bedroom. Plus side, I’d end up amid all three. The negative? It was getting late.
A smart call, since right as I stepped out in fresh clothing, her husband appeared in the cabin’s entrance. As I headed for my pack, he sent me a tired grin.
“Hey, Jim. Lemme get changed and I’ll be ready in a minute.”
“Okay,” I replied, adding freeze-dried food packs to the ruck.
Once he’d returned, I held in a chuckle. Not only were his clothes still marked with store creases, but the hiking boots were shiny new. The poor man was in for a world of hurt. Right as a comment formed on my lips, he glanced at the gear at my feet.
His brows tightened. “Why bring all that, Jim?”
“Just in case.” I shrugged. “Sucks to be out in the middle of nowhere without food, water, and a halfway decent shelter.”
He shrugged and looked at his phone. Perfect timing because his wife stepped from their room. Holy ... I gulped. My chest throbbed.
Molded to her rear were the tiniest hiking shorts, baring both shapely underswells. A white bandeau top, damn near translucent and plastered to that pert chest, left nothing to the imagination. As she did a slow pirouette for me, the sharp points on darkened peaks announced she was enjoying my survey.
“Hi, Jim. Should be a, um, fun night,” she said while slipping into a loose olive shirt.
With a wink, rather than buttoning it, she tied a knot, leaving a bare midriff and offering peeks at the taut top.
“Naughty,” I mouthed.
The imp took a quick peek at her husband, engrossed in his device, then stuck out her tongue and slid a hand along an out-thrust hip. Yeah, promised to be a fun night, alright.
After a final scan of the girls cuddled tight on the couch, still focused on their phones, I smiled at her. The familiar heft of the pack settled on my shoulders as well-worn boots took me outdoors. The sun was sinking past the hills.
“Come on, star-watchers.” While shifting the straps, I looked off toward the trailhead. “We’ve got a bit of a hike.”
With a nod, Charles pocketed the phone and followed me outside. Eyes wide, he was smiling.
“Rarin’ to go?” I chuckled.
“You know, Jim. Yeah, I am. It’ll be nice to get away for a while. Damned meetings, indoors, in a gorgeous place like this.”
Right after taking in a huge breath of air, he coughed. When he tugged a handkerchief from a crinkled pocket, I smiled. Hey, the man got points for enthusiasm. After lifting a shoulder bag and kissing Susan on the cheek, Mandy appeared beside us.
“Goodnight, girls. Behave,” she called out before easing the door shut. “They won’t,” she added, flashing us a grin.
Once on the main trail, it wasn’t long before a familiar patch of thick vegetation came into view. The tangled greenery screened the path leading uphill. With the shadows deepening, my pace quickened, and Charles moved closer.
“Where we headed, Jim?” he asked.
“Old fire tower. It’s up on a ridge. Has excellent lines of sight.”
All of a sudden, the phone in his pocket rang.
After retrieving it, his brows furled. He slowed, uttered a curse, and answered the call. Although his wife said nothing, her eyes locked onto me. A slow motion drew my gaze. She’d slipped the shirt aside, and a glossy red fingernail was circling a sharpened tip under thin, taut cotton. The tease flashed me that smile, and my heartbeat thundered.
When another curse sounded, she took the finger away, slid the blouse closed, and faced her husband. He was shaking his head, and with brows knitted, he smacked thin lips and shoved the phone into his pocket.
“Sorry Jim. That was my boss. I ... Damn it, I can’t do this tonight. He needs to meet with me.” His hands balled tight as he sent a strained grin to Mandy. “Now.”
“Aww, that’s okay.” After a curt sigh, I turned and started back down the trail. “We can do this some other time.”
Just as I was passing his wife, he exhaled. His fists loosened, and he met my gaze. After a quick glance at her, he forced a wider grin.
“No, you two go on.” He nodded up the path. “Mandy’s been looking forward to this all afternoon. I’ll be damned if my boss is gonna ruin her fun.”
“You sure?” I asked. “I’ve no idea when we’ll be back.”
“Yes.” He smiled. “As long as she’s with you, I know she’ll be well taken care of.”
“And you?” With every muscle in my body vibrating, I looked over at her. “You okay with traveling alone at night with me, Mandy?”
Eyes twinkling, she just laughed. Charles joined in. After taking me by the hand, she pulled me past him.
“Good luck in your meeting, hon,” she called over her shoulder.
Hand-in-hand, we tramped a few steps along the trail. Even as the back of my neck prickled, it felt right having her beside me. No sooner had her husband disappeared behind the thick brush than she chuckled.
“What’s so funny?” I asked.
“I’m wondering”—she swept errant sable strands from her cheek—”if you’re thinking the same thing as me.”
“Which is?” I smiled.
After a peek back at the shrubbery hiding us from any watchers, she looked up at me. Blue fire, her eyes shimmered in the growing dimness.
“How soon before my tall, handsome master can fuck the shit out of his naughty little slut?”
She laughed, such an adorable sound, and damn it, I joined right in, but said nothing. Why? Because, yeah, that was exactly what had been bubbling in my skull. Her grip on my hand tightened, and our laughter moved ever upward until the woods thinned, leaving us on a bald hill.
In the distance, the tower’s dark, spindly silhouette loomed. However, a wider scan showed clouds thickening as they rolled closer. With her head tilted skyward, exposing that alluring neck, she was scouring the first visible stars. As the gorgeous woman, mouth wide, spun in a slow circle, a smile swept onto me.
“Told you it was a pretty sight,” I said.
It was: her gazing at the sky.
After her nod, I let out a quiet sigh and strode toward the tower. Behind me, her boots crunched on the gravel. Flat and well-packed, the trail permitted good time, and soon we found ourselves at the base. Between the thickest crossbeams, a ladder led upward.
When I gestured her forward, she chuckled.
“What is it now?” I asked.
“You just want to stare at my ass all the way up there.”
“Yep, I do.” I nodded, gripping her wrist and guiding her to the first rungs.
On every single rung, the little tease paused to roll those amazing hips. By the time we made the upper balcony, both of us were laughing so loud we collapsed onto the timber floor. As we lay beside each other, gazing at the darkening sky, our laughs turned to shaky gasps.
“Slut,” I mumbled.
“Yes, master. That’s me.”
She added a quiet giggle but fell silent as her hand slid over my chest. Got the hint. While rising, I tugged her to her feet.
“Yeah, well, come on,” I said. “Better get an eyeful of those stars before that line of trouble catches us.”
After pointing to the now darker and closer clouds, I peered inside the glass-enclosed square structure. Just inside the entrance squatted a solid-looking ancient wooden desk with an old camp chair. Along the far wall, a mattress frame of bare metal springs had my brows arching. With a shove, I forced the creaking door wide and inhaled thick, stale air.
Once the pack thumped to the dusty, planked floor, I tugged out a pair of binoculars. After handing them to her, I gestured at the balcony’s steel railing. She turned and began scouring the night sky. Flashes erupted along the shrouded horizon, framing that wondrous silhouette.
“Big Dipper’s over there.” As I pointed, she scanned the distance. “And that’s Orion. I’m gonna set out some food.”
After energy bars and a canteen sat on the desktop, my gaze wandered back to her. Ensconced in a search of the heavens, that lithe frame had my soul yearning. Not just my soul. My shorts tightened as she shifted, letting those slender hips roll. Oh, she knew I was watching her.
When my chest pressed into her spine, she trembled but remained silent. As my fingers undid the knot, her breathing grew shaky. While I peeled away the filmy blouse, her only reaction was to shift her grip on the binoculars, permitting me to remove the top. After folding and placing the shirt on the desk, I returned to her.
Only the faintest whimper escaped trembling lips as I slid the bandeau top upward, tugging it free in a cascade of dark wavy tresses. The taut white cotton also ended up on the desktop. At my hands on her hips, she gulped. Perky tits arched skyward as I unsnapped the shorts and slipped them, along with soft panties, down shaking legs.
Still silent, she stepped from the clothes. They got added to the pile of clothing. While dropping to one knee and untying her boots, I inhaled. That sweet scent flooded my flaring nostrils, and it took everything not to spin her, lurch forward and devour heaven.
“Mmm, J-Jim,” she whispered in a shaky voice. “Master.”
“Shh,” I said,
Her lips smacked shut, and I removed each boot and sock before setting them inside. When at last she stood naked, binoculars bumping against the bridge of her nose as she trembled, my clothes disappeared as well. After putting them beside hers, I stepped back out onto the chillier balcony timbers.
