As soon as Aiden stepped from it, the house around Gina cooled and darkened. In a daze, her heart was thumping so loud she kept glancing at Paul, already in bed, to see if he’d noticed. With her teeth clenched, she crumpled tighter under the sheets. Burning heat seared her core, still quivering from his—she held in a chuckle—snack. Even as Aiden’s passion continued to slice through her, wave after wave of confusion, pain, and desire drifted from him. By the time Aiden had fallen asleep, she’d crushed a pillow tight between her shaking thighs.
When her phone pinged, she snatched it from the bedside table. At Paul’s sleepy grumble, she silenced it before blinking her eyes at the screen.
Kendra?
After sliding from the bed, she crept from the bedroom and along the hall. All the way to the couch downstairs, the phone continued to ping. With Aiden sleeping, she could risk stretching, arching her chest under a red silk camisole and spreading her legs wide to let the cool air dry her soaking panties. Although the aches wouldn’t diminish, after a nervous swallow, she nodded to herself, at least they wouldn’t worsen.
Until morning.
With a soft chew of her lower lip, she tapped the “Receive” button.
“Hi, Ke—”
“Oh, thank God! Thank God, Gina.” Kendra’s high-pitched panicky voice blasted from the speaker.
“What’s the mat—”
“Aiden! Aiden’s the matter. He was here. And I. We. Well, he ... It’s just that he fled, and...”
“Slow down, Kendra.” Her own heart racing, Gina sucked in air before adding. “Deep breath. Now start again.”
“After...” There was a series of loud puffing breaths, then Kendra continued. “After he and Tim took me out. And Aiden showed me off. God, it was so hot. On display before all those men, Gina.” At Kendra’s winding moan, a shiver shimmied through Gina’s core; she raised her legs, digging her heels into the couch and coffee table. This was not helping to keep her calm. Not at all. “Then he led me out back. It was such a nasty alley, Gina. But he fucked me. He fucked me so good. And I thought the men would show up. But they didn’t. And Tim ... Tim was so gorgeous. And Aiden had me suck Tim’s cock. I’d never throated him before, but I did, Gina. I did. And Aiden kept fucking me and it felt so damned good. God, my pussy hurts, Gina. It actually hurts; it misses him so much.”
As the room blurred and spun around her, Gina tore away her panties to stare at her glittering slit. Her fingers poised, gliding closer. No! Her chest frozen; she dug her nails deep before yanking her damp panties back into place. With an eager moan, she arched her twisting pelvis upwards when the taut silk glided over her angry clit. Yeh, she hurt too. For him.
“Are you still there, Gina? You okay? Sorry, I know it’s late. I could call you in the morning if you—”
“No.” Stunned at the hunger in her voice, Gina swallowed, then added in a whisper. “No. Just, uh, slow down, okay. So, you were with Aiden and Tim? In an alley?”
There was a protracted silence and shuffling while Kendra moved.
“Tim’s sleeping. He’s ... He’s kinda still in shock. Hell, I am too.” There was a loud gulp followed by a sigh and a longer swallow before she resumed. “Sorry, I should’ve explained this when I called before, but ... Well, sorry. I thought Aiden would call me.” Another longer sigh. “But he didn’t. Sorry. Uh, so yeh. Um, after the alley, Aiden ... Well, Tim and I asked ... We invited Aiden to stay the night.”
“Oh,” is all Gina managed before tremors—body twisting tremors—rippled through her.
As Gina covered the phone from her rapid panting, one after another, the sharp memories of Aiden’s overnight—several overnights in a row—battered her mind. On the other end, Kendra’s shallow breathing also sped before she smacked her lips.
“Tim slept across the house. Aiden and I...” After a nervous giggle, Kendra exhaled. “Sorry, Aiden and I didn’t sleep much, Gina. He’s a fucking fuck machine. Jesus Christ. He ... I mean everywhere. In every place possible. I was just a toy to him. Any hole. Any position. All night. He was fucking relentless, Gina. He ... Devoured me. I was his toy! He’d said he’d own me and ... Fuck almighty, he did. Oh, fuck, did he ever. And...”
“So what’s the prob—” Gina struggled to force from her quivering lips as she crushed her thighs together; ripple after speeding ripple battered her shaking frame.
“The problem is, I screwed up, Gina. I was terrified. I really was. Just for a second. What if...? Well, what if now that Aiden owned me, he...? He took advantage? Used me? And I don’t mean, in a good way.” Kendra paused, her breathing rapid before speeding onward. Her voice was so low, Gina had to mash the phone to her ear. “I would let him, Gina. I would. Aiden can do whatever he wants with me. I mean it.”
As Gina nodded, her insides coiling—pleading—she sighed. She understood.
“Aiden ... Well, Aiden woke up. And he knew. He sensed my fear, Gina. The expression in his eyes—such guilt. The look he gave me—terror and shame and disappointment in himself—before he ran. I’m still shaking Gina. I’ve lost him”—There was a quick intake of air before an echoing wail forced Gina to rip the phone from her ear—”but I want him back! I need him back, Gina! Please help me.”
“I, uh, I tried and—”
“Please, Gina! I’m begging you. Look, I know he’s yours.” Gina’s chest tightened. “I sense it. When he’s with me, you’re never far from him. Never, Gina. And I know he ... Well, he cares—a lot for you. I mean it. If you really want me to, I’ll leave him be. But he’s young and ... We could share? I miss him. Is it making things difficult for you? With him?”
“No. My master treats me well.”
When Kendra gasped, Gina’s breath hitched. For the first time, she’d admitted her relationship with Aiden.
“He is an excellent master.” When Kendra replied, it was Gina’s turn to suck in air. Earlier, Kendra had actually meant “owned.” Her mind was still spinning when Kendra added between sniffles. “Can you help? Will you help?”
“Of course. I’ll try again, Kendra. I promise,” Gina said, even as she sighed. How? He’d refused to talk about Kendra. “What would you do? To get him back? To convince him you’re comfortable with him owning you?”
“Anything! Please Gina! Please!” As her voice disintegrated into huffing breaths, the phone shifted, sliding in Kendra’s hand, before she continued. “Help me think of something.”
“I mean.” Gina paused while tracing the outline of a hard nipple with her shaking nail. Huge mistake. With a moan, she squeezed her thighs tighter. Once a lengthy hitching sigh had passed, she added in an airy voice. “After what he’s already done to you, what else do you really think you could do?”
There was a protracted silence, broken only as Kendra moved the phone along her cheek and sighed. After a gulp, a longer puff of air hissed from her.
“He could take me away. Somewhere far from here. Where I could ... I could show him, uh, well ... Everything I’d do for him.”
“Without fear of being recognized?” Gina said. She’d known nobody at the lake. When they’d first ... She swallowed the moan as her insides twisted, hungry—ravenous.
“Precisely,” Kendra replied in a low voice. “He can—I don’t mind—I’d do anything for him. I just want him back in my life. In our lives. Tim’s beside himself, Gina. He’s been sobbing. We’ve both been wrecked.”
“He’ll take advantage of you. ‘In a good way,’ as you put it.” Gina swallowed and let the waves ripple through her once more, before adding in a stronger tone. “And he’s gonna push you—hard—before he’s convinced. I’ve told you about the lake. And that was only our ... Oh.” Gina was forced to stop and clamp herself tight as a tremor sliced through her, taking her breath away. “That was, uh, ... Um, only our first encounter. God knows ... Uh, what he’d do to me...” The room wavered around her as Gina held in several rapid groans. “Oh, fuck. Or ... Oh. Um, what I’d let him do to me. If ... If he took me away once more.”
As she panted along with Gina, Kendra was silent for a very long time. Time and again, Gina tried to relax, but memories, sensations ... The first time he’d admitted his love. All poured into her in endless waves. Including the initial bite of her new collar when Aiden had placed it on her so long ago. Except it hadn’t even been ... What? Two months? Maybe. Jesus, what could he do with her in the future? With a cry, Gina arched from the couch, pressing upwards, every muscle taut, begging for the release only Aiden could give her.
“I know.” At long last Kendra’s low voice broke through the blood pounding in Gina’s head. “I want him to take advantage of me. Push me. We’ve already gone—”
“Beyond your fantasy? Your secrets?” Gina added, her speech shaky as she settled back on the couch. “I understand. But he’s ... He’s so special, Kendra. You know it. He—”
“Cares. He does, doesn’t he? I mean, that’s why he ran. He was only scared for me. For Tim and me.”
“Yes,” Gina forced out as another meandering ripple slithered through her. “Yes, he does. I’ll see what I can do.”
“Thank you. Thank you so much, Gina. You’re the best. And I’m ... We’re in your debt.”
All the way up the stairs and as she crumpled back into bed, Gina’s mind spun. Aiden had said not to discuss Kendra. With a giggle behind her hand, her dark eyes gleamed as she fanned her long hair over the pillow above her. She’d have to be insolent again. Her frame was still collapsing into a tighter ball when she managed another chuckle and a lengthy yawn before darkness took her at last.
With slanting sunbeams lighting the concrete walls, Gina pulled into a space in her office parking garage, shook her head and sighed. The morning was a blur. Focused on what she was about to do, she’d no memory of the drive. Chest tight, she glanced into her purse. And the lace-wrapped collar. When she tugged the phone free, the car’s interior wavered like a funhouse mirror while her knees trembled.
For perhaps only a second, but it could have been hours, days, weeks or thousands of years, Gina stared at the black glass. Blood pumped ever louder in her ears. Aiden had been clear. Do not bring up the Owens. That he didn’t want to discuss them. And she was going to challenge him—her master—again. Insolence. God, he would punish her. At her insides curling, she whimpered; she needed that. As she gnawed on her lower lip, she brought the phone to life.
Can we meet, master?
Though she’d expected a pause, there was no answer from him. Did he sense her—ploy? Probably. With a sigh, she staggered into the building and headed for her office. He’d still make her pay. With a taut grin on her face, she caught the quick bob of red hair as Sandi, her receptionist, looked up at the parting doors.
In a sleek, low-cut lime-green dress, Sandi beamed at her before holding up a message.
“Good morning, Mrs. Davis. A, uh ... Well, a young man phoned earlier. Aiden, um,...” When crimson clambered up Sandi’s cheeks, a spike of jealousy wormed through Gina. “Wilson. Aiden Wilson called. He’s, um...” Her brilliant jade eyes flicked to the doors, closing behind Gina. “He said he would stop by this morning. Couldn’t give a time. He said he was, uh, busy—ma’am.”
The way she’d said “ma’am” sharpened the jealous stab and Gina rolled her lips while tugging the paper from the young woman’s hand. Young. Cute as a button. And ... Gina scanned her red-cheeked face. The redhead’s smile was frozen in place. And also enamored with Aiden.
