I was in the middle of brushing my teeth when I heard the shower come on. I’d told Amanda that the shower wasn’t working—the shower head needed cleaning, so I’d removed it—but maybe she hadn’t properly understood. I stepped around the corner. Sure enough Amanda stood under the spray, though it wasn’t really a spray but a bolting stream pouring from the naked pipe. She was bent far backwards so that the water pounded her little breasts. She seemed to be enjoying herself. I watched for some time. Finally she stood up and turned off the water.
