Chapter 8: Repeat Business

One week into the new spring semester and both Allie and I figured we were a month behind. We became obsessive about using our free time for studying. Our living together resulted in a lot of time saved, because, for one, one of us would prepare dinner for the two of us, and then we’d be back into the books.

Jake also ramped up using both of us for his adult videos. He wanted to try to do some feature films – like two hours long. Allie and I would star in the same video with some of our cohorts. I’d even get my brand name put forth more dramatically – Adam Nice.

The movie did have a plot, although it was pretty thin. Nora faced Hal more directly, “Honey, I’d like to do this. It’s exciting and daring. Our lives have been so staid, except for breaking out with Chris and Allie and their friends. You know I love the sex, and it takes nothing from our marriage.”

I ventured, “I’m sure Hal could come and watch you being filmed.”

Hal smiled, “I encourage you to do this. Yes. You might want to think about what to say to our children if they discover your new career – and to our friends.”

Nora turned back, “Yes. What do I do, Chris?”

“I’ll let you know tomorrow. I’ll be filming again. I’m part of feature length movie and we’ve been doing a little bit almost every day. I’ll see Jake and set things up for your interview and audition.”

“What will I do for my audition?”

I snorted and laughed. “Probably fuck Jake.”
