Jeff grinned at him, ‘I might have guessed you’d have one.’ he said. ‘The local factory wouldn’t need an overnight stay so that solves that.’ Lewis said. ‘For the Scottish one, if we went the night before and returned the morning after we would only need to be away two nights at most.’

‘And Isla?’ Jeff asked. ‘Take the bull by the horns and invite Jack to stay over.’ Lewis said. ‘Do you know something?’ he asked. ‘No,’ Lewis told him, ‘Except that they are both very happy together.’

‘This is the summer holidays, so they’re going to be together a lot, in a lot of different places. I’m not saying they will, but there has to be a very good likelihood that they will have sex at some stage.’ Giving them your approval and the comfort of home makes a lot of sense.’

‘Theres one other option too,’ Lewis added. As Jeff looked at him expectantly, he told him, ‘Bring Isla and Jack with us. They don’t have to go to the factory, they can explore the area. But at least they’d be with you.’

‘How they sleep in both options, you’re going to have to leave up to them. They’re going to do their own thing anyway.’ ‘Which would you choose?’ Jeff asked. ‘As a dad, I’d probably want to take them with me,’ Lewis said. ‘As a boyfriend, I’d rather be here alone with Isla.’

Jeff got up and went to the door, ‘Jack, Isla, can you come here please,’ he called. He returned to his seat at the table. When they were seated, Jeff said, ‘This week or next I will be going with Lewis to visit our Scottish factory. I know it’s a trip that wouldn’t interest you Isla, but I’m concerned about leaving you alone. So, I wondered if Jack would stop over for the two night’s that I’m away to keep you company.’
