‘Because it is so special to both of us, we wanted to be completely open with you about our relationship. We have been getting closer to each other for some time. We have reached the stage that whilst we know how things can change, we hope we will one day get married.’

Lewis noticed smiles on all grown up faces at that. ‘As our feelings for each other have grown, we have discussed how we felt and about making love. It is not something we have thought about lightly. Nor have we rushed into it.’

‘Can I interrupt at this point?’ Lewis asked smiling at Rupert who looked very relieved. ‘I’m sure we have all become aware how close Rupert and Gemma have become,’ Lewis said. ‘It would have been hard not to notice. Last week I spoke to Rupert, and he was very honest with me. It is my opinion that had I not done so, it is more than likely that they would have made love last week or next week.’

‘I complemented Rupert on how they had dealt with the issue and what they wanted to do. I asked him to wait a little longer. I suggested that if nothing upset the wedding or the holiday, a discussion like we are having now would likely be favourable to them.’

‘I was satisfied that Rupert would look after Gemma completely. I was also pleased with his handling and intentions. I told Ella that I thought they were close to making love and asked her to have a chat with Gemma to make sure she was ready.’
