SUNDAY – HIKE
As they walked together, Nicola had told Hugh that she was sure Christine and Ian had made love the previous evening. Hughs reply had been, ‘Good, I wonder when they’ll get married.’ That moved the subject on to more discussion about their own wedding this coming Saturday, and the progress on the purchase of their house.
Ian and Christine walked along full of happy memories of making love the previous evening and the thought of spending a whole night together on the two-day hike. Ian had also booked a double room in a hotel near his mums for the Friday and Saturday after the wedding so he could introduce Christine to his mum and his aunt down south.
When they all sat together having lunch, there was an air of happiness over the whole group. Then when they set off again, they did their usual thing of changing partners for the first half hour. Nicola made a point of walking with Christine.
‘Well?’ Nicola said as they moved off. ‘Last evening at the flat,’ Christine told her. ‘You were right, it was fantastic.’ ‘And?’ she asked. ‘We’re going to stay as we are for now,’ Christine told her, ‘But we both agree we want to be together permanently. We’re going to tell mum and dad after your wedding.’ ‘I’m so pleased for you both.’ Nicola told her.
Hugh walked along with Travina. ‘You two look exceptionally happy today,’ he said. ‘Yes,’ Travina told him, ‘For now, just let’s say we’re discussing long term plans.’ ‘I’m so pleased,’ Hugh told her, ‘You were meant for each other.’
As Ian and Alvin walked along, Alvin asked how he was coping with having the flat to himself. ‘I haven’t been on my own all the time,’ Ian told him, ‘Christine came round Friday and Saturday evening. I er, I even spent some time in my own bed last evening.’ he said. ‘Not alone I hope.’ Alvin asked.
Ian smiled at him, ‘No, it was our first time together properly.’ ‘I’m delighted to hear it.’ Alvin told him. ‘I’m taking her down to meet my mum and my aunt the weekend after the wedding.’ Ian told him. ‘It’s that serious then?’ Alvin asked. ‘Yes.’ Ian agreed, beaming at him.
Alvins alarm went off then, so everyone changed back to their original partners. At the end of the hike everyone said goodbye to Travina, and they set off home. Saying their goodbyes outside the flat, Alvin and Ian said, ‘See you on Saturday at the wedding.’
Inside the flat they both stripped to their T shirts and shorts. They had a light snack and a coffee before going to the bathroom for Ian’s weekly weigh in. In the bathroom they both stripped off and Ian got up on the scales.
As usual he avoided looking at the gauge. Alvin noted the reading then smiled and told him, ‘You’ve lost another pound. Do you realise that next week it will be three months since you first started, and I took the first photos and measurements. So, you’ll get to see them.’
They got into bed and Alvin said, ‘As both our cocks have had a lot of exercise this weekend, I suggest we just have a hug, a feel and go to sleep.’ They got into bed and had a naked hug. As both their cocks went hard, they settled down, kissed, took hold of each other’s cocks and promptly fell asleep.
MONDAY - IAN - WORK
Mid-morning, Ian got a message to go and see the store manager. As he headed for his office he wondered if he’d done something wrong, as you do. But the manager greeted him in a friendly manner, so he relaxed. ‘Sit down Ian,’ he was told.
‘You’ve been with us for a while now,’ the manager told him. ‘Your supervisor speaks highly of you. He says you’re not just a good worker, but you look after the others too. You’ve kept an eye on the new boy and helped him settle in as well.’
‘Do you know what your supervisor’s job is?’ he asked. ‘Overall, to make sure all the shelves are always full.’ Ian said. ‘He does that by constantly checking the shelves and making sure we all do what we’re supposed to do. But, if necessary, he mucks in as well. He’s also there to teach us what to do and be someone we can turn to if we have a problem of any sort.’
‘A perfect description,’ he said, ‘How come you are so well versed in his duties?’ ‘I’ve been learning from watching him, just in case I ever got the chance to do the job myself.’ Ian told him. ‘Yes, Mr Preston told me you’ve stood in for him occasionally too.’
‘Just when he had a few hours off for an appointment.’ Ian agreed, ‘Oh and once for the whole day, when he was taken ill suddenly.’ ‘He said you coped with it fine.’ the manager told him. ‘I don’t want this to go any further for now, but Mr Preston is moving to another branch in a month’s time so he can live with his daughter.’
‘So, if you accept it, I want you to work closely with him for the next month, then take over his job as the shelving supervisor when he leaves. There will be an increase in salary too, of course. Mr Preston will fill you in on all the details.’ ‘Thank you, sir, I’m delighted to accept.’ Ian told him and shook his hand.
As he showed him out, the manager told him, ‘Go and see Mr Preston now and tell him we’ve spoken.’ When he went to the canteen midday, Alvin wasn’t there, as sometimes happened. So, Ian sat on his own. Nowadays he only had a light snack at lunchtime.
He spotted Aaron, the new shelf stacker leaving the counter with his tray and looking around. Ian waved him over. ‘Come and join me,’ Ian told him as he approached. As they ate, they chatted a bit and Ian learned a little bit more about him.
He had lost both parents in his early teens and having no other relatives had been put into care. Ian told him he had lost his dad, but still had his mum, although she now lived down south. Aaron told him that after he’d settled in his present home, living in care had been fine, and the couple who were in charge of where he lived were lovely.
‘But it’s not the same as being in your own home with family, naturally.’ he said. ‘What do you do with yourself when you’re not at work?’ Ian asked. ‘Not a lot,’ Aaron told him, ‘I spend a lot of time in my room on my computer or reading.’
‘If the weathers good, I like to sit out in the garden, but then if the weathers good, so does everyone else and it gets a bit noisy. I often go and sit in the park or take myself off into the country. There I walk or just find somewhere quiet, where I can sit with a nice view.’
‘Are you happy being on your own?’ Ian asked. Aaron went quiet for a few moments. ‘I wouldn’t describe it as happy,’ he said, ‘But I’m used to it. I’ve always been quiet and shy, and I don’t mix well.’ ‘Do you ever have company when you’re doing something?’ Ian asked.
‘Yes,’ Aaron said with a big smile, ‘When I’m here at work.’ They chatted about work in general then Ian asked, ‘How long will you stay in care?’
‘If you have a job, and are considered able to look after yourself, you can move out once you’re seventeen.’ Aaron told him.
‘But you have to move out once you’re eighteen anyway. Although it’s a difficult age to get your own place, lots of landlords won’t accept tenants under twenty-one. But I believe social services do help you to find somewhere if you need them to.’
‘I can appreciate the difficulties,’ Ian told him. He explained about his mum moving and him getting a flat share through work. ‘One man just said, ‘No’ and closed the door in my face when he saw how young I was.’ ‘I’ve still got nine months before I have to leave.’ Aaron said.
‘Make sure you keep an eye on the store noticeboard.’ Ian told him, then he asked. ‘Did you have any close friends at school?’ ‘No, there were a couple of boys I got on fairly well with,’ Aaron told him, ‘But I’ve never really had anyone I would call a close friend, in fact I’ve never had anyone I could even call a friend.’
