Cathie watched as Jessie pulled her lunch bag from her locker. Suddenly, there was a snap, a shriek, and a slap. Jessie saw Clay, a notorious bully, rubbing his face. Obviously, he had grabbed Cathie’s bra strap and snapped it violently against her back.
Cathie wheeled around and slapped him with all her strength.
Jessie saw Cathie’s blouse was torn at the shoulder. Furious anger seized Clay; he grabbed the torn blouse, tearing it further, then smashed Cathie’s head against the bank of lockers with maximal force.
“Bitch!”
Stunned, Cathie slumped to the floor.
Jessie dropped her lunch bag and books and screamed!
She grabbed his head, raking her nails across his face, drawing blood. Clay, wordless with rage, flung Jessie off then reached for her arm. Whipping her around, Jessie’s head smashed into her open locker; the latch ripping open her earlobe. Scalp wounds are beyond bloody; Jessie fainted away as her own blouse started soaking red.
Only a moment had passed, but nearby students shrank back—stunned by the sudden violence.
The next shock was an Archie-shaped blur tackling Clay to the floor.
