Chapter 6

After the show was closed down by the police due to people walking through the crime scene where the asshole had shot one of the security guards, everyone gathered back in Sara’s room with Gale joining them. Gale looked at the others with a worried look in her eyes. Noticing the look, Alecia said “Don’t worry, he can handle twice or more what’s in this room. No one here will be upset.”

After everyone nodded, Gale looked to have relaxed at least a little.

I looked at her and said, “Until you take my lifeforce, it’s still your choice. I can provide enough metal to keep you alive indefinitely.”

She replied “I’m tired of the hunger, so let’s proceed. Though I should say, the last transfer was through blood at his choice. He was gay by nature and couldn’t deliver sexually, something about it being too much of a turn off.”

She dropped her clothes and dropped to her knees at my feet. Looking at her, she had a very pretty face, almost violet eyes, and a build more like a teen. I knew this was a facade so I didn’t let it bother me. She pulled out my cock and began sucking me slowly. She got to the root and did something I’d never experienced. Standing up, I began the advanced Qigong exercise. This time I was aware of the energy flowing through my meridians. I was especially aware of my Dantian which felt drained. It was morning before I came out of the trance. However, this time I knew I was topped off. Hitomi was there watching me.

“I’ve never witnessed anyone cultivate at your speed, especially someone using a new technique. You were nearly completely out of energy, but now, you look completely full.”

I looked at her and asked “How is Gale this morning.”

“She was worried all night. Her body was a few minutes away from death when you stamped her. She thought she’d pulled too much energy.”

“The energy wasn’t the problem. Her memories were. Her spirit is older than all of you combined. It was like taking in ten of you all at the same time. I’ll be asking that question before I do that again. The upside is I now know how y’all transit from fey to human. Each of you are effectively a storage artifact only unlike my ring, you store life energy, or Qi as you call it. Once you’re aligned with a stamp, you passively gather it into your unique rift. Somewhere in your body is an actual artifact from your creator.”

She looked stunned at that. As did the rest.

I gathered some energy then told Hitomi to transform. Soon enough, a four-inch version of her, replete with wings was hovering in front of me.

“Sit on the bed and be still” I told her.

After she complied, I cupped my hands around her small body and send a probe of energy into it. After a few moments, I found what I was looking for.

“The artifact is embedded in your sternum. Be still a few minutes more.”

I sent more energy into her sternum and memorized how the artifact was designed.

Looking at Alecia I said “Now for you. Transform and sit on the bed.”

After she complied, I ran the same probe on her sternum. Sure enough, there was an artifact embedded there. It was of a different design though. After I mapped it out, I took out some scrap nickel and shaped it into a plate. I then embedded the last of my sapphires in it. When that was done, I embedded the images of the artifacts into it.

After putting a drop of blood on it, I activated the plate.

Two glowing holograms of the artifacts appeared above the plate. I could zoom in and out on specific areas of it at will.

Looking at the girls, I said “This is what gives you your abilities.”

Lisa said “Holy shit.”

I then did one more thing. I commanded them to show our connection.

With that, ethereal blue lines stretched from their sternums and connected with mine. I looked at Lisa and said “Go to your nymph mode.” The blue connection turned red between us as she complied. After she was done, it returned to blue.

“The slave compulsion works through the same artifact as I suspected. Which means when I was converted, there was a command artifact created in me. It took an outside curiosity to discover this, your creator made a back door loop that only revealed itself after a sufficient number and type of you came together under one master. That’s all I’ve got for now. There is one more missing type that would tie it all together, but I haven’t a clue where to find them. I tried to scan my own artifact, but it didn’t work. I think that was by design as well.

Unfortunately, it’s unlikely I’ll be able to free any of you, at least until I can find a way to access my own artifact.”

Lisa looked at me and said “You’re trying, that’s what matters to me. I’ll still be at your command, compulsion or not for that. Please don’t put me aside if you can break the compulsion. You’ve been the kindest master and most thoughtful one I’ve ever had. Not to mention you’ll be the only one that has the ability to understand any of us. We’d have to be fools to give that up.”

I looked at them and said “Let’s go check up on Gale and Sara.”

Everyone transformed to their human mode as I put on the pendant making my own transformation.

After getting to the convention floor, I saw the place was packed. I also picked up an energy probe sweeping through the crowd. It had the feel of an artifact in that there was zero variation in its strength and frequency.

I passed the message to lock down their shields tight as I did the same.

When I got to Gale’s booth, I felt the probe focused on it. I sent the strongest pulse of energy I could back towards the artifact and watched as a man began jumping up and down screaming about burning.

His wrist was in fact glowing red from the overheated artifact he had on it. I sent another pulse into it as I watched. The artifact exploded, taking some chunks of flesh when it disintegrated.

I looked at Gale and sent her a message mentally, “That probe was focused on you. You need to play sick and disappear.”

I recognized the publisher standing next to her. Gale held her stomach and started complaining. After a few minutes she was sent to her room.

When she passed me, I handed my door card to her and said come to our room.

I sent a mind message to all, “Make ready to leave this place in a hurry. There are hunters with artifacts on the convention floor.”
