Chapter 11: Complications

I lucked out with Christine. Twenty five years younger than me, attractive, intense, passionate, caring, intelligent, and fun.

What do we do for fun? Well, besides sex, fishing, cooking, and eating, we watch a lot of news. We watch both boobtube iconoclastic TV news and also controversial conservative news sites on the net. Iconoclastic means characterized by attackS on cherished beliefs or institutions. The subverted legacy TV networks thinkS THEY are, or should be, the cherished institutions!

Hilarious arrogance I think.

The differences in the POVs are like watching two different worlds. The cultures actually are two different worlds.

An ancient Chinese curse says “May you live in interesting times.” We are indeed cursed!

The worlds are colliding. VELLY INTUWESTING! Very unstable.

What would I like to do for fun? Get all those talking head idiots propagandizing on TV in one place and run a stinging operation.

Fun? Honestly, what I have enjoyed most in my life, was solving problems. Finding outside the box solutions. My own arrogance is, I enjoy my mind. I don’t verbalize, but I internally talk with myself constantly. I like my own company. Am I insane?

The whole world is insane, mentally and emotionally ill! Why should I be an exception? Look at history. Humans and societies have always been totally universally insane. Being sick in the head isn’t the yardstick. Able to function is the only viable true metric.

How do I get the talking heads together in one place? Let them arrange it themselves at NAB’s next annual spring convention. The National Association of Broadcaster’s annual convention attracts hundreds of thousands of media professionals. Promoting a fake awards ceremony could handpick a dozen or so more virulent pundits as candidates, cutting them out of the herd and corralling them together for a group assault. Their bloated egos couldn’t resist an Oscars type of recognition ceremony. Spring is more than half a year away, so plenty of time to hype up excitement, stroke egos, and inspire dreams of avarice and fame. Of course media will be interested in televising the ceremony. Isn’t the news really about them and their opinions? How could we idiots understand raw news if they don’t predigest it for us? Details to be worked out later.

More important news from home. Christine is pregnant. She wants her younger sister to come live with us and help her. Anything for Christine. Of course her sister is welcome. Does she want anyone else to visit? Well, she’s hesitant about inviting her mom, but wishes to see her. Certainly. Invite mom too. My home is about to be invaded. Am I making a mistake?

Invitations are extended and fares paid for. Our relationship is getting serious. I am about to meet the family.
