Tim opened his eyes slowly. As his thoughts turned to the women sleeping next to him, he could almost hear the beat of their hearts in the quiet room. He thought of Tabitha sleeping in her original quarters for the time being.
He started to move to get out of bed. Tammy placed her hand across his midsection and said, “I’m taking Tabitha’s spot for breakfast. Just lay back and enjoy the sound of all these beautiful women sleeping around you.”
Deniece slowly woke from her peaceful slumber and turned toward Tim, her eyes still heavy with sleep. With a gentle smile playing on her lips, she greeted him, “Good morning, handsome.” She stretched out in bed and felt a need for his love. In a soft voice, she expressed, “I feel like I need a kiss to start the day off right.” The warmth of their shared morning ritual filled the room with love and tenderness, setting a beautiful tone for the day ahead.
Deniece felt Tim’s body stiffen, and she knew Tammy was about to have her breakfast. She gave him a long, enthusiastic kiss. When she felt his body relax, she broke the kiss and moved away, saying, “Go, do your routine, and I’ll see you at the breakfast table.”
Tim got out of bed and headed to the bathroom, where he took his first morning shower and dressed. He walked past the bed, saw Melanic getting up and heading to the bathroom, and said, “Good morning. I will see you at the breakfast table later.” He walked out into the living room, then to the kitchen. He needed a glass of juice before the morning workout.
He made his way to room 512 and engaged in a rigorous workout session to maintain his physical fitness. After completing his exercises, he joined the commander and her troops for a refreshing five-mile run. He returned to his quarters to shower with Miss C and have breakfast, then headed to the bridge and his office.
He walked onto the bridge and stopped to look around. He headed to his office, seeing that everyone was doing their job and did not appear to have a problem.
He walked over to his desk and asked, “Sarha, can I have the morning department report?” He sat down at his desk and eagerly awaited the crucial information that would help him plan out the day’s tasks.
After listening attentively to each department head and providing constructive feedback, he leaned back in his chair and turned to Sarha with a thoughtful expression. “Sarha,” he began, “could you please update me on Lois’s current status? Is she awake, and can she come to my office?”
While Tim waited to hear back from Lois, he called the medical center, and he heard, “Hello, this is Nurse Judy; how may I help you?”
“Nurse Judy, this is Tim, your ship’s captain. I like to check on Bob!”
“Sir, he is being sedated to keep him stable and calm, but he is still emotionally upset about what happened. His severely injured hand required complex surgery to replace it with a prosthetic one.
“Thank you for your help. Could you please have Doctor Madlyn call me as soon as possible?” Tim hung up and waited to hear back from Lois.
A Sarha image appeared in front of Tim’s desk and stated, “I have just finished a pleasant conversation with Lois. She mentioned that she is currently enjoying a delicious breakfast in the common area, savoring every bite of her meal. She assured me that she would join you as soon as she finished her breakfast. I hope this arrangement is suitable for you?”
Tim smiled, knowing how Lois was and how she would be there soon. As he sat there, he wrote a note to the members of yesterday’s crew, first thanking them for their experience on their new shuttle craft and asking if they had any ideas about changes or adding something to it.
He was about to press the button to send it out when he heard a knock on the door. Pressing the button and saying, “Come in,” at the same time.
Lois smiled as she opened the door and walked into the room. “I hope this is not about that party last night!” she added as she looked at Tim to see how he felt about the subject.
Tim grinned and said, “You had a party and did not invite me. You know I am the captain of the ship, right? I would have loved to join in on the fun and celebrate with you.”
Lois now knew Tim was in a good mood and walked on over, sat down in front of Tim’s desk, and asked, “Is it me or Queen Jaclyn you are wanting to talk to?”
“I’m sorry, but it is Queen Jaclyn. We’ll talk about your party afterwards.”
Lois sat comfortably in her chair, taking a deep breath as she closed her eyes and focused all her energy on harnessing her unique ability to communicate with Queen Jaclyn. With each breath, she visualized the connection growing stronger, allowing her mind to reach out and establish a clear channel of communication with the esteemed monarch. As Lois concentrated, she could feel the subtle shift in the atmosphere around her, indicating that she was successfully tapping into her extraordinary gift. The room seemed to hum with an otherworldly energy as she delved deeper into her meditative state, preparing herself to convey her message to Queen Jaclyn with clarity and purpose.
Suddenly, the image of Queen Jaclyn materialized before her, as if she had stepped out of another realm. She looked at Lois first, then at Tim. Her words came from Lois. “It’s good to see you, Tim. How was the test drive of your new ship?”
Tim glanced at her with a curious expression before inquiring, “Have your clones provided you with their report?” he finally asked, his voice a low rumble.
“Yes, the information was clear-cut, but my true desire is to explore the emotions that motivate these actions. I want to understand the underlying sentiments behind each attack and the shooting of the rocks. It’s not just about what happened, but why it happened and how those involved felt about the ship during those intense moments.”
Tim thought for a moment and then said, “The ship did really well, showing off its amazing skills as a brand-new spaceship. Thanks to its advanced tracking system, operating the craft was smooth and accurate, and the crew had the freedom to move around in space like never before. The innovative thrusters not only moved the ship quickly, but they also let it speed up or slow down quickly when needed. The strong shell design also made the ship last longer, and the new shields protected us against the laser blasts of the pirate ships.”
“When it came to attacking powers, the ship’s guns worked very well against pirates and dangerous rocks. The team was able to stop the pirate attack that came their way thanks to Shanae and the accurate aiming system and strong weapons.”
Tim stopped talking and looked at Queen Jaclyn with a puzzled expression on his face. He then inquired, “Has the ship ever undergone any testing before being put into operation?”
Queen Jaclyn’s image remained still, portraying a sense of solemnity as she stood with her head bowed. Lois’s voice carried a tone of regret and sincerity as she uttered, “I am genuinely sorry, but I must decline.”
Tim pondered different strategies on how to extract the truth from Queen Jaclyn. After a moment of reflection, he straightened his posture and spoke with an air of authority: “You are refusing to provide the answer to the great one.” His words carried a sense of gravity, implying that withholding information from such a revered figure could have serious consequences.
Queen Jaclyn straightened up, her regal posture diminishing as she transitioned from a ruling monarch to a mere figure in society. She now found herself in the presence of the great one, humbly acknowledging his authority. With a respectful tone, she expressed, “I apologize, great one, but I must inform you that none of our ships have undergone testing.”
“And just how many spaceships do you have?” Tim asked with a tone of authority, curious to understand the extent of Queen Jaclyn’s interstellar fleet.
“Oh, great one, we humbly confess that our counting has been amiss over the passage of time. With reverence, we admit to having placed a grand total of one hundred spaceships in orbit around what you call a year. Each ship is equipped with advanced technology to fight off any unwanted visitors.”
Tim replied, “Please give me information on the people who are currently in charge of running these ships. Additionally, I would like to know the exact number of your team members that are on each ship so that I can better understand what is going on.”
The advanced technology employed on our ships ensures that every ship is a genetic replica of the original, skilled ship. In case of an attack, the ship’s defense system is programmed to activate a synchronized response from all ships within the targeted section. This means that when fired upon, each ship in that specific area will automatically engage in returning fire, maximizing the ship’s defensive capabilities.”
As Tim sat there, contemplating the situation, he realized that if a ship were to move into that area and fire a single shot, it could provoke a potentially dangerous response. The prospect of facing ten shots fired back at him made him acutely aware of the high stakes involved in any potential conflict. He understood that careful consideration and strategic planning would be essential to navigating such a volatile scenario.
“Oh, great one. Thanks for letting me know about the confusion. The system seems to have 50 sectors, and each one has a large fleet of 2,000 to 3,000 ships.
As Tim took in the shocking news, his eyes widened in shock. He then said, “So, let me get this straight: if a ship fires just one shot, it can expect to be hit with a barrage of 2,000 to 3,000 shots in return?”
With a serious look on his face and wrinkled brows, he turned around. “With the impressive amount of firepower you have at your disposal,” he began with some thought, “I can not help but wonder why my assistance is needed?”
“Oh, great one, I understand your thinking, but the clones cannot think for themselves. If a spaceship remains outside of their range and keeps firing and taking out one ship at a time, our clones will stay there and move up to fill in the space. That way, our defenses stay strong. But what if 200 ships did that? It would be no time, and all our forces would be gone.”
Tim now understood what he was needed for. He asked, “So, would I control all the clones?”
“Great one! With your elevated status, you will be granted complete authority over the entire fleet of clones dedicated to servicing our spaceships. Your role as overseer of the clone workforce is essential in guaranteeing the success of our interstellar endeavors.” The image of Queen Jaclyn began to break apart. At the same time, Lois began to come out of her trance.
Lois slowly came out of the trance-like state she had been in as the picture of Queen Jaclyn began to break apart. As she tried to figure out what was going on around her, she blinked quickly as the image faded away like a dream.
Lois looked at Tim and asked, “Did you get to talk to Queen Jaclyn?”
Tim expressed his gratitude by nodding his head and stating, “Thank you for being so patient.”
Tim noticed that Lois appeared visibly exhausted, her eyes drooping with fatigue. Because he was worried about her health, he led her carefully to the couch in the corner of the room so she could rest in comfort. Tim got Lois a glass of water and a warm blanket to help her rest even more as she sat down on the soft pillows.
Tim, after returning to his desk, diligently began jotting down detailed notes on strategizing the positioning of the clone’s ships within Queen Jaclyn’s system. He carefully contemplated how he could effectively utilize these ships to disrupt the flow of incoming spaceships, thus impeding their progress.
He looked up from the detailed notes spread across his desk, a slight furrow in his brow as he addressed Sarha, “Sarha, could you please ask Shanae to come to my office at her earliest convenience?” His tone was firm yet not unkind, indicating the importance of the upcoming meeting. Sarha nodded in understanding.
As Shanae entered Tim’s office. Tim looked up from his desktop and smiled warmly, gesturing for her to come closer, Shanae could see a faint crease of concern on Tim’s brow as he motioned for her to take a seat across from him. She sat there waiting to see what he wanted from her.
She sat there, her heart pounding with anticipation, as she waited to see what he wanted from her. She couldn’t help but wonder if she had done something wrong on the test run yesterday. Her mind raced with possibilities as she tried to read his expression for any clues.
