Chapter 13

Ian Towells was beside himself with envy. His three companions were all bragging about the women they had convinced to become best friends and all the fringe benefits that entailed. Billy and Jeremy were the most boastful. Billy made a habit of proudly showing movies of him and Keisha. Jeremy proclaimed he was also making movies of him and Kathy getting it on but he wasn’t prepared to show them just yet. “Soon,” he promised.

Jack was the quietiest.

“My new best friend, Shannon, was pretty easy. After I showed her the photos I snapped of her scoring drugs she was quite agreeable and joined the club quite quickly. She’s really quite terrific and goes to bed with me willingly and I don’t need no secret fuck movies to control her. Fuck she even blows me without being asked. You guys should have found somebody like her. You would have a lot less problems.”

“Problems, what problems? Billy snickered. “I got Keisha just where I want her and I do it to her whenever or however I want it. You know she’s got such a tight ass, I’m even thinking of trying her back there. And if I want to she’ll let me, no fuss, bother.”

“Yeah,” Jeremy agreed. “And although Kathy may blow a gasket when I show her the movies I made, I bet I’ll be getting blown whenever I want and she’ll probably let me take her ass if I want it.”
“Suit yourself,” Jack said. “I’m with my best friend and I’m sure she won’t cause me any troubles.

“You explain to her the true nature of the Best Friends Club?” Billy asked.

Jack shook his head. “No need to as long as Shannon keeps putting out I’m quite happy.”

As the group broke up and began to leave the bar, Ian vowed to show them all up. He could no longer stand their smug attitude and the way they boasted about their conquests so he promised himself he would soon have his own best friend or die trying.
