Cast:
John Abrams: Main character. Widowed and depressed. Middle aged in his early fifties. Around 6’ tall, balding, pudgy, out of shape and overweight. A loner. Semi-retired and fled from active life and now lives as a recluse on a rural acreage a dozen miles west of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Mary Abrams:John’s deceased wife. Committed suicide six years before.
Abby Abrams: John and Mary’s daughter. Killed by a drunk driver eight years ago. Would have been eighteen at the time of this story.
Picket: John’s strange neighbor. Appears different. Early thirties in appearance. Around 6 foot 2 or even 6 foot 3 tall. Skinny and bony, wears smart glasses
Agent: An augment of Picket’s. Artificial Intelligence (currently limited)
Colby: Local café breakfast regular who owns a garbage business.
