The light rain coming down reminds him of the first time they met. Alan wasn’t supposed to fuck anyone that day. He held out for a good bit until he found the toy. That was his undoing. He sits in his car staring up at the door to her apartment. He is nervous. He has never been nervous. For over two decades he has talked to, wooed and fucked many women. Other than his mother he thought he only had feelings for one other. Now that that is not an option, his attentions have turned to his dog. That in itself is totally bizarre, but as he is learning it may not be as bizarre as he once thought.
Finally, he gets out of his car and rushing to the stairs. He takes his time rushing up them, careful not to slip. Once at her door, he jams a finger against the button for the doorbell. He doesn’t fully realize the extent of his anxiety until the door opens. Cathleen is standing just inside with a smile on her face. “I wondered when you were going to come up,” she says.
“You saw me?” he asks.
“I think I may be more nervous than you,” she counters. “Come in?”
“It sucks that it’s raining,” he says, stepping in.
“Reminds me of the first day we met,” she says, closing the door behind him.
“Yeah, it does.”
In better lighting, Alan can see what she is wearing. Cathleen looks great naked, but somehow her halter top with the front zipper pulled down to the top of her breasts makes her look somehow sexier. The top gives way to hip-hugging jeans.
“Been busy?”
“I’m taking a short vacation.” Alan shakes his head. How was work for you?”
“Normal,” she replies with a shrug. “Same as every other day. Now that you’re here though...”
He follows her into the kitchen and she offers him a drink. Alan takes it and sits at the table. “How’s the ankle?”
“It’s a lot better,” she says. “It wasn’t that bad. It’s amazing how sex can help with that.”
“Yeah, really,” he agrees. “And speaking of...”
“Speaking of,” she repeats, grinning. “I was thinking of your dilemma, and I think I will have to introduce you to my friend.”
“Dilemma?” he asks.
“That push you need to take it just a little further with your dog,” she explains.
The man raises his eyebrow up at her. “Does that include taking care of yours?”
“I’m not worried about me, I’ll get there eventually,” she quips. “It is you I’m worried about.”
He grins a little. “You barely know me, and you’re worried about me?”
“You’re a good guy,” she says with a shrug. “Besides, you helped me out a lot and you didn’t know me at all.”
“I could have been a killer trying to pick up young women,” he counters, trying to sound devious.
“You could have been, but I would have been able to tell,” she winks.
“I have this feeling that you can be a bit bashful.”
“Bashful?” she feigns innocence. “Me?”
“Well, your game you played that day when I bought you home,” he reminds her. “You weren’t subtle about it, but you weren’t loud about it either.”
“Okay, I can be a little bit on the shy side, even when I know what I want. Sometimes it can be hard to express it, but you seemed really dense to my hints.”
“That’s because I was trying not to get into your pants,” he explains.
“I was beginning to wonder if you found me at all attractive,” Cathleen reveals. “I mean I figured with you actually stopping to help, and then when you carried me in.”
“You know, there are still nice people in the world,” he argues. “Plus, what kind of guy would I be to not have helped?”
Cathleen shrugs. “I guess you’re right.” Then she grins at him, her face turning darker. “Have you cum today?”
“Not yet,” he answers.
“Good,” she says, leaning back against the counter.
“I hate to say it, but your chairs in here are a bit uncomfortable,” Alan complains.
“Is that your way of saying we need to go somewhere a bit more comfortable to get a bit more intimate?” she asks, raising her eyebrow up at him.
“That’s what I’m here for, right?” he answers honestly.
“The living room it is then,” she says, pushing off the edge of the counter and setting her glass down. No sooner are they in the room does a loud crash of thunder rattle the apartment. “Fuck, I hate storms,” Cathleen growls.
Alan puts his arm around her shoulders. “Don’t worry, I’ll keep you safe,” he says in mock seriousness.
She looks up at him. “I hate driving in them too.”
“Is that why you had me come over instead of you coming to my place?” he questions.
“That, and if I came to you I might have had the urge to pay more attention to your dog,” she says.
“Why’s that?”
“I like girls as much as I do boys,” she answers casually before slipping out of his grip. “And since I have only done things with male dogs, I couldn’t pass up having fun with a female.”
“I’m not going anywhere,” the man says. “I’m sure Sandy wouldn’t mind the extra attention.”
“You say that now,” she says. “But you seem like that type of man that moves on fast. I mean looks how long it took you to contact me, and you weren’t even planning to do that.”
Alan realizes that she is right is her assertion of him. “I know it’s a flaw, but...”
“Don’t worry about it,” Cathleen quickly interrupts. “Some men are like that and generally are dicks. Then there are some men like you that cannot help themselves, but are true knights in shining armors.”
“Are you looking for a knight in shining armor?” he asks.
“What if I was?” she counters.
“Well...”
The woman laughs. “I’m not looking right now. So you’re off the hook. I’m focused on my career and the simple pleasures of sex right now. There will be time for a husband and kids later.”
“For the time being I guess I can be your knight and shining armor,” he says, referring to the raging storm outside.
“I guess you’ll have to stay until it’s over,” she says with a smile.
“That might be all night,” he replies.
“If I’m lucky...” She steps back into his embrace. Their lips meet in a kiss. Her hands are on his arms, which now hang at his side.
Alan spreads his lips and extends his tongue into her mouth. She responds by doing the same. The kiss turns into something more. Their heads turn slightly. Cathleen puts her arms around his waist. Alan holds her by the hips. She presses harder against his mouth and they both moan as the passion rises. Their bodies press together and he feels her breasts. She feels the beginning of his erection. They are just inside the living room, inches from the wall near the entry back into the kitchen. Cathleen rotates until her back is against it. Alan moves into her, putting his hands on the back of her top.
